F-15 Eagle: History, Performance & Discussion

AIM-7E capability was removed from F-15

I wish gajin improve AIM-7M better AIM-7F 7% or 8% in 2nd major update

But I’m sure F-15A Baz from IAF/IDF never fired AIM-9M and hope remove it

But F-15A from USAF (1977) armed AIM-7E-2 capability ?

No. The earliest AIM-7 model integrated onto the F-15 was the -7F. The only reason the 7E-2 was even intended to be integrated is because the 7F was still in development and testing during the early stages of the F-15 program. Once the 7F matured the 7E-2 capability was just excess cost for no gain.

Why are rudders is so effective on F-15?

The real F-15 has an effective rudder, a combination of the twin rudders and its large size.

It can turn using only rudder, without bank

I just tested it and sure enough it can do it.

However I also tried the Gripen and Su-27 and they can both do it.

Although you have to use realistic controls since the elevons on those screw up the rudder input as the instructor tries to contersteer with those.

The F-15 is more stable doing that and does a sharper “turn” than the Su-27, the Gripen is pretty close I’d say but the F-15 seems still a bit more “sideways” than it.

So the response to radar range

The source specifies 90 km for F-4-sized target. Assumed for In HPRF RWS mode.
In the game we have 100 km for RCS=3m^2 target.
We didn’t use the info from “Soviet manual”, we use range from the source about AN/APG-63 performance from the doc about P - 3 Orion

Ofc, thats where the 100km figure comes from.

And talking about the “AN/APG-63 performance from the doc about P - 3 Orion”
It’s information that comes from nowhere, there’s no source where this is information comes from! Even the beamwidth is CLEARLY wrong! 3°?! Community Bug Reporting System
And what the excuse for this?
" YOU CAN’T SEE IT THEREFORE IT DOESN’T EXIST"
When its clearly 3°. And direct information like the F15 manual stating its 2.5° has been given already but ohh dishonesty reigns.

figure 4

Even math done(half wavelength between slots) on the slotted array gives 2.4° beamwidth. ~0.1° off from the value stated on the manual.

As for the radar range.

You have this for a T-38( <2m^2 frontal RCS) Target. Which again, comes from a better source (APG-63 CASE STUDY) rather than a third party source from a country that never used the fighter and that information would clearly be subject to ITARs laws.

I don’t know how hard it is to understand ratios and how you cant find specific value if you know one value? Its kindergarden math
Like, don’t you see the ingame values(for 2m^2) don’t add up to the figure above?

But I guess third party information is more valuable than primary information…

And the other stuff comes from a study of the APG-63 for the department of defence, the F-15-34-1-1, RCS report concerning the T-38, and a detection and false alarm performance of the APG-66. AND you can cross reference all 4 of them plus alot more stuff I didn’t put

You tell me, which one has more evidence

I’m not arguing with you. I know that the quality of production or weather conditions can affect the detections.
Some F-15s were better at this than others.

American Tornado IDS.

The F-15 has 1480km/h speed near the ground in its manual. He accelerates towards them and cannot go further.
The F-16 has the same 1480 km/h in the manual, but it accelerates to 1500+.
The Su-27 has 1400 in the manual, but it also goes 1500+

WHY?

But much better

Never in my life would I ever think I’d see panther talking so correctly. Literally true though.

9M IRCCM is miles better than the garbage irccm on R-73.

I reported this as bug 5 months ago and it got “acknowledged”. 0 changes to R-73 since that report.

Still brick with wings

Considering the CFTs are removable (just not in flight) and later F-15Es even get more powerful F-100-PW-229 engines, they are even more maneuverable than the F-15As and Cs.

You can even leave CFTs on for the comparison if you agree to let the earlier F-15s mount theirs
