The Su-27 retains energy well at speeds above Mach, and I have no issues operating the Su-27 actively in combat

And i have no issues catching Su-27’s in my F-15, forcing them into 1vs1 and shits on them, whats your point again?

R73’s IRCCM works by reducing the fov, Aim-9M’s IRCCM simply shuts off seekers head as soon as it detects any other ir signature and keeps guiding missile to last known position.

Thats why both R73 and Magic-2’s can easily flareable in side,head-on and even rear aspect depending on speed while Aim-9M performs much better.

You know those missiles are based on SARH missiles that can reach 50-100km right? İn average furball scenarios medium range will be usually 2-4km.

Well, in general, when introducing the R-73, questions arise. Since the mechanism for selecting moving targets has not been implemented. The autopilot is still broken. TVC also works very strangely and this is not only a problem with the R-73

Yes, currently R-73 TVC is something in betwen on working and doing a 720° backflip and dying.
