F-15 Eagle: History, Performance & Discussion

Plot twist, it’s supposed to be the F-15EX but they haven’t changed the skin and added it’s features yet

Placeholder final boss

they probably made the detailed models for the 15ex and just copy pasted them onto the 15e

Wouldn’t the engines be supposed to have the covered nozzles tho?

i would say that they had that model made bc it appiles to quite a few other f15’s

and the rest of the internal moduels is just copy pasted from the 15ex since its also a 2 seater f15, and otherwise that radar model wouldnt really make sense imo

EX uses completely different engine aka GE ones while regular uses PW models.

they should externally share the same if not similar exhaust nozzle shape to the F-14B/D model tomcats, due to it being the F110-GE-129 VS the F-100-PW-220 or 229, but the turkey fathers don’t really change much on the drag characteristic of an aircraft, was tested on the F-15A/Cs that the difference with them on vs with them off that it was so minuscule that the decrease of maintenance time was considered good, last i heard to take one of those off it takes roughly 40-45 mins (its been a while so id have to double check) so knocking off roughly an hour and a half for the tiniest amount of drag seemed good, can be seen, as shown with the F-15Cs and F-16C block 42s, its the same engine but the F-15Cs are commonly seen without them

@Gunjob is there any chance for F-15C MSIP and F-15A to get BOL pods now that their overall countermeasure amount has been reduced a lot?

Weird situation again with the radar models again:

F-15C GE currently uses APG-63(V)2 model on the dev:

They literally made this mistake before, and fixed it. So they made the same mistake again, even though they also have the correct APG-63(V)3 model as shown before in the blog as placeholder on the F-15E:

If the GBU-39 has no limit on release speed, then why does the GBU-53 do?

except it does

Community Bug Reporting System report to bump the max locking range of the apg63/70 to either 160km or 185km. It currently sits at 92.5km…

Does it? On the live it does not, just looked it up. Iirc there was a bug report on the release speed of the GBU-39 and it got implemented

GBU-39 doesn’t, but for whatever reason on dev it does (likely because it was a hotfix on live?). Idk about the GBU-53 not having a limit though.

It’s the same thing as the GBU-39

yes on live GBU-39 doesnt have a limit

but on dev it is nerfed through a M1.1 limit along with GBU-53 being added with the M1.1 limit

which is dumb because gaijin themselves implemented a bug report and removed the release limit a bit of a time ago
