F-15 Eagle: History, Performance & Discussion

It’s super easy to out roll a sparrow

*at specific point

Initially (on the early F-15As and Bs) they were present back in the late 70s, but they got removed due to issues with maintenance. The same happened for the F-15E

Why it is prohibited to take AIM-7 with fuel tanks?

At least, the level flight speed at normal battle altitude is in line with expectations.
The test flight is consistent with “std day”+“0g”.
2.40.0.65 test flight modified the fm code, increasing the speed of broken(to mach3, ias 2000kph).

However, the new problem is that the maximum flight speed on paper of the F-15E in the game is up to 2700kph,which is actually impossible to achieve.Maybe they need to modify the data card.

I was was decelerating at Mach 1.1 at 57,000ft so it’s missing a lot of power at high altitudes.

What configuration did you have and what configuration you are comparing to?

There is nothing unusual about the acceleration compared to the manual.

To qualify as STD means to be weak, STD is 84.99°F temperature, which is not that high in most maps.

The “std day” in this manual corresponds to 15 °C and 760mm Hg at SL.

There is overperformance slightly in acceleration at 40k feet until mach 2 where it begins to match the curve better. Performance is above that seen in STD -10 until mach 1.65

I suppose you are still correct, this is not unusual for Gaijin when adding NATO aircraft.

The acceleration curve from mach 0.8 to 1 is too steep, continues to be too steep until it is overperforming the chart at mach ~1, continuing to accelerate too quickly (as much as 5 seconds too quickly) up to mach 1.6.

Rather, some over-performance is common in War Thunder… Anyway, compared to the F-15E that accelerated like a rocket before, it is indeed much more normal now.
At the same time, since the game does not correctly simulate the effect of temperature on engine thrust (for example, the higher the map temperature in the game, the faster the aircraft), it seems impossible to get a realistic flight performance.

While it will slow down above 50,000 feet, it does get to 50,000 feet and rip its wings.

Possibly. I used dev to test this and while the plane can exist at 50,000 feet, it doesn’t meet performance specifications there or at 60,000 feet.

Something that was odd was the altitude would go up by increments of 3. Floating point precision errors in war thunder above a certain altitude it seems.

Anything in particular you were looking for in this?

Only in NATO jets it seems, for the most part.

Additional missiles for Golden Eagle when it will come to game.

Do you need the other ones? 2016-2024 are available that I can find

I have found another books too. But anyway thanks
