F-14 right now have 9km of ACM range and it is not very good for it’s BR and should get some better treatment! Is it weird? that the new F-106 Delta Dart got 19km both ACM and HMD while F-14 still at 9km.

F-14A after 1990s and F-14B, F-14B(U) had 30nm P-STT ACM that is called “PAL” mode.
Problem is weapon stuffs are still classified and quite impossible to prove it unless you find former F-14A/B pilot/RIO and ground crew who worked early 1990s to 2005.

Exactly. It appeared. No one questioned nothing because it wasn’t overpowered. Give it to thr F-14. If the game it’s unrealistic for “balancing reasons” make it unbalanced for both sides

With the fact that F-15 got 19km HMD and Russian one technically is not limited by distance and only has limitation because of gameplay balance?
probably export restricted documents cause gaijin was a russian company at the time

Well, i honestly think that gaijin just forgor. Because F-4J\S have 19km ACM and HMD.
un ironically the F4J radar performs better at guiding sparrows then the AWG-9
Well, i don’t think that better sidewinders is a way to solve F-14 issue. Simply because F-14 is not a platform that loves to be at Sidewinder range. And after how many years of F-14 simply dominating i don’t even really care if it should get buffs or not. I use IRIAF, it’s pretty allright at 13.0 with 4 Fakours and 2 R-27Rs. Maybe radar should be less schizo, i dunno, it works well enough for me.
B model is was the best dogfighter at its br before the F18 with its AOA limiter was added making it obsolete in CQC dog fights and The F14 has a AOA switch but gaijin says no
Oh no, another jet became obsolete after gaijin introduced something new, literally never happened before. Not every jet should be or stay meta forever.
well the meta they added wasnt a meta that should have killed it the F14 had same AOA switch as the F18 a paddle switch on the stick which made it so you could defect the Elavators on maxium Angle allowing way more pull and at this point it wasnt really meta anymore aim 120s thrashed it in BVR same R27ERS it was its only gimmick now its just a heap of metal every american pilot has to get throug to play the F18
it is only the HMD their ACM is still at 10km
and only after several months of F-15s dominating the bracket with 19km HMD while MiG-29 and Su-27 were stuck with a 10km one.
still doesnt make sense the ACM range on the F4J is farther then on F14A or B
