now that the f14b is 13.0, they should give it the aim9ms because rn its just a sidegrade to the f15a with worse missiles(no aim9ms) so it would be pretty nice to have aim9ms on f14b, it wouldnt be game breaking or anything because its higher br now, it carried them irl but wasnt added with them in la royal update because balance purposes ofc but now it should be fine

dawg the f15a stays at 13.0 with aim9ms, the f14b gets worse acceleration with sameish top speed, you can run 6 aim7ms ofc, but get way worse radar(only PD HDN or same as the f14a early), so its just a sidegrade to the f15a, heck even a downgrade wtih worse radar, worse acceleration and worse air to air loudout with no aim9ms, it did carry aim9ms irl so giving it now wouldnt be too big of a deal

It’s an ARH missile which doesn’t need you to keep pointing at the enemy. You can dodge sparrows just as easily.

When the most reliable method for most aircraft at its br is to use multipath and the phoenix has enough TNT to splash said aircraft, it can be extremely frustrating
Especially when you only have a handful of countermeasures and cant afford to notch and chaff more than just a couple missiles (and if you do, you will die to an AIM-7F because you wasted all your chaff defeating the phoenix spam)

The real problem is the fakour. But as you say. The AIM-120 is better than an AIM-54 and is present in 13.0 but that is a compresion problem. Now, with this br cap. The F-14B should get the 9M’s while staying at 13.0

Also on much worse aircraft, the F-14B is infinitely better than the F-4F ICE or a SUBSONIC plane (Harrier).

The IRIAF is an echivalent to the B in BVR. Same radar, same shir rwr, infinitely better missiles.
The F-4F has 8 missiles. 4 9L/I and 4 120’s, much better radar and RWR. On the AV-8B i do agree
F-14B has an improved RWR:
The Fakour is better, but it can only carry 4x max, and is then limited to 4x AIM-9Ps. Both USA Tomcats can carry 6x AIM-54 and the much longer ranged AIM-9D/G/H (F-14A) or 9L (14B).
F-14B also has 700 CM total (Irancat has 60) and the better engines.
F-4F has much worse flight performance than F-14B and arguably even worse than F-14A, with less CM than 14B. It is still a bad plane.

Honestly, I don’t see any problems for giving AIM-9L/9Ms for F-14s with current BR in ARB match, unless Gaijin omegabuff AIM-54s.
Probably, it would be insane in sim even more but, they can go higher BR then since SBEC has rotation BR matchmakers.
