F-14B is not a top tier plane, it currently faces things like MIG-23ML with SPO-10, Mig-21 bison, F-4S, Mirage F-1C, JA-37D every match. Compared to those things its flight model is beyond insane.
Now you change the goalpost. First, it could outrate a gripen. Now it’s just better than the things under it. Sidenote, MiG-21 will beat it if the pilot is competent, dont give me the “BUT ENERGY RETENTION” excuse, im not interested in talking about that again.

It still is correct. At low speeds F-14B will outrate a gripen. It maintains its energy better than the gripen at low speeds, and keeps rating.
The radar matters for skyflashes? Lol. F-14B with 9M would be more meta than Gripen A

F-14D mind you is F-15 equivalent, unlike the F-14B which is inferior.
F-15A being 13.0 is a joke in itself, while the SMT is 13.3

You’re talking about the F-16ADF there. The ADF has a better radar than the F-14B.
Seems like you’re the only person in that whole conversation who even mentioned the gripen. Alvis is talking about your comparison to the F-16ADF.

I am not advocating for F-14B to be stomped by F-15C. It is better if they make top tier 14.0 and make F-14B 13.0. But 12.7 is not the BR for F-14B.

I can agree with that, but just pushing the F-14B up is just wrong. The front aspect radar against AIM-120s and such, just doesnt feel right.
Also, seriously dude, the F-14B cannot outrate a gripen. It beats the Su-27 and MiG-29 pretty handily, is about toe to toe with the MiG-21 Bison, and is significantly worse than the F-15, F-16, and Gripen. (Flight model wise)
If the F-14B goes up, so will at least 90% of the things from 11.7 - 11.7.

I agree that the IRCCM slingers should go up to 13.3 but comparing the F-15A to the SMT is a bit weird since the SMT gets Fox 3s and just generally gets better missiles.
