I dont believe thats the case imo, we know its 0.2M slower with a load, and at faster speeds that difference shall increase.
I guess Grumman’s entire higher up team, test pilots, and Navy officials all lied about the DoD approved Mach 2.34 max speeds of the F-14s. I’m not bug-reporting for a while after this.
They are unironically limiting the F-14s to peacetime limits for no reason. There is no reason not to (at a minimum) increase the VNE to Mach 2.4 instead of artificially limiting to what they think the max speed is.
I’ll re report it, found evidence of the design limit being 2.4. The issue with the report is it covered multiple issues and didn’t clearly separate them.

So you made a report with the flight manual stating the VNE is 2.52 right?
So this statement from the techmod is just a flat out lie given they are quoting it’s flight manual?
Such lines up with the SAC but manual no.
They said tertiary Russian media sources are more accurate than the F-5E NATOPS so it wouldn’t surprise me.

There is a small chance it’s a different manual, but most likely they just weren’t looking in the right place. I would note the natops top speed was Mach 1.5 aha…
Possibly, however, this is, to me, shaping up to be another case of “we prefer gaijin’s manuals over yours”.
I don’t think they add the vne 1.05/1.1 multiplier to Mach numbers, most Mach numbers rip speeds we have in game seem to be their actual Mach rip speeds

Just one question: Shouldn’t this apply to the F-14B too? Even if can’t reach it, it’s still the same airframe effectively when it comes to structural means.
dosent matter if it cant reach it
when you are in a dive to try reaching that mach speed you will probably hit thl VNE before you hit the critical mach number

At this point, you should find NAVAIR 01-F14AAA-1.1 or NAVAIR 01-F14AAP-1.1.
Problem is post late 80s manuals are still under of export control sadly.

IIRC, the source they are relying on is based on test data from F-5Es captured by the North Vietnamese after the Vietnam War.
Some of the values differed from the United States T.O. manuals, but were incorporated in the game because they were “wowowowow aPpRoXiMaTiOnS”.
I mean there is some sort of soviet book about tomcat, which could give similar issues overall

It’s been used in previous reports. Don’t see why it would be an issue? Both are well over 30 years old.
That’s because NAVAIR manuals from the late 1980s onwards, not just for the F-14, has Distribution Statement C or D written. Mostly, blue/yellow binder or the cover mention about that.
It’s okay if there is a stamp or something indicating on your manual the distribution statement has been downgraded, and just nothing about infos.
