That reminds me! Got this last week on Thursday.
They would reject -1A manual :/
Why?
Because it is the manual that contains radar and weapons deployment stuff for the F14 iirc
Does it also have weapon testing info?
Edit: I thought so as long as it’s declassified it can be used?
We don’t know
But probably not, if it is anything close to the f15 weapons delivery manual
It might have stuff about the Hud symbology tho
As far as I know that manual is nowhere to be found on the internet and probably more restricted than the NATOPS manuals
Well on the internet theirs still classified info u can’t use tho
removed reply cuz of misclick :(
-1A manual is just insanely hard to find.
The late 70s A models -1A manual is declassified and allowed to share but, they are nearly impossible to find and NAVAIR doesn’t have physical copy anymore.
Didn’t the f14d have a different hud from the a and b?
So even if it uses the same symbology it can’t be used for bug reporting
Besides the fact that it is restricted
It does.
You can use DTIC ADA208347 from 1987.
They are quite limited from -1 manual but, still enough.
Didn’t knew that existed
But I was talking about being able to report the f14a/b hud
Do you have proof the A model natops is unrestricted?
They generally are after 30years
So a 50 year old manual should be unrestricted
ITAR doesn’t work like that tho…
That isn’t the problem, the problem is the special export restriction paragraph under the title.
From DCS forum, someone tried to FOIA request from NAVAIR. They didn’t say no but, don’t have it anymore.
However, it is necessary to reconfirm this.
We have gotten in a lot of trouble sharing stuff from DCS forums in here in the past. Just cuz it’s over there doesn’t mean it’s permissible here.
From datamines:
F-14A, F-14A ([IRN]), F-111A, F-111C, F-111F: slightly increased turbine time constant and turbine time multiplier at 110% throttle * will mean slightly faster throttle response
I’m not particularly complaining, but… Wha?
