I’ll report it, also will produce a companion for the Kurnass 2000, simply for the possibly that a Later F-4E with the TISEO gets added. but it will be a lot more circuitous.
I believe this has been an ignored topic for awhile. @MythicPi made a bug report on it almost 3 years ago. Hopefully, your report doesn’t get Gaijin’d. Ask Mythic for any info he might have to add to the report!
I looked into it and the F-14B only has personal DL, not Link 16 DL. Unfortunately, they’re right. The only functionality it would get from the Aim-7P would be IOG. That’s why the F-14D will be such a great upgrade.
Does anyone know what the TCS was fully capable of? Of all the Tomcat’s systems, it’s the one I know the least about. Was it able to provide track/help the AWG-9/APG-71 track targets? Could it give threat identification on the radar/RWR?
I have (via PM), it’s just that whomever actioned the report also closed it to comment so, it’s going to take longer to be rectified.
I’ve also put in responses to the other three (#1, #2, #3) that are related and were erroneously (in my opinion) closed / rejected.
They already have air-to-air search/tracking capabilities, you can switch to targeting pod view, search the air, and can lock-on to air-to-air targets.
As it seems that they have misunderstood the scope of the requested changes, which was to have them included in the specified change made to the Dev server.
Not to add A2A search and track modes to the relevant pod & airframe combos (yet).
Further
There is no evidence in this report that they support SARH/ARH mode. The F-4 and F-14 are not the same as the F/A-18, that’s a huge logical leap.
Seems to have forgotten or not know that Memory tracking and “track-files” have been implemented for many radars (including the APG-65, which is directly relevant to the Hornet & AV-8B+).
Is it somehow not assumed that I don’t need to prove basic functionality that already exists in game does similar things?
