Do you know if the F-14D will use the same RWR as the F/A-18C and F/A-18E Super Hornet; the AN/ALR-67(V)3?

I know it was (somewhat) planned for it to get it, but to my knowledge, no it didn’t get it. That’s because the further Tomcat upgrades (plus technically the harrier) were supposed to get the v(4), but they didn’t survive that long.
However, I do have a couple sources that say the v(4) was just the v(3) with a larger antenna fitted for the Tomcat, as as such, the v(3) could easily be retrofitted to the Tomcats. I’ll try to find it for you.

Thank you. So the V3 for the F14 and AV8 was actually the V4, named like that because it had a larger antenna? Neat.

When the A and B model get buff? Come on PD HDN and only have FOX1 (AIM-54 so suck performance vs FOX 3 meta isn’t funny). 9l on A , 9m on B model should come for a while. Even 13.0 its cant compraer
with SU-33 that have a good armerment then. Come on Gaijin you didn’t need to nerf or quarter Tomcat anymore like when its came.

Not too mention better radar because it has hmd and great radar range and tws for arb because you don’t really need the full 100+ miles of radar (although it’s nice to have) and great Flight performance and not just the su33 theirs other planes too

And F-16A Block 10 or F/A-18A would wash it away, that’s how bad the fm is
honestly the su33 is good dog fighter but obviously it has a downside of losing energy in a rate fight like any other jet plus a f16 is made to be fast and unstable while only carry 6 missiles and a f18 is literally made for agility witch lacks in speed And only has 6-10 missiles both of those aircraft also have good acceleration. trying to argue that a su33 doesn’t have a good fm is wild because it does especially with its canards and aoa button and good speed/acceleration at low altitudes or high altitudes for being a big aircraft with 12 missiles and it’s weight but if you don’t keep in mind of losing energy While dog fighting obviously your gonna lose. also about knowing your adversary and your planes capabilities the su33 witch may not be the best compared to other fighters but it’s still good for a fighter of its size. su33 has speed/acceleration and can most definitely hang in a dogfights with other fighters in its br
Su-33 will literally loose against every single aircraft at its BR, apart from maybe Tornado F.3 and F-4F. It doesn’t have good acceleration, it is heavier than any other Flanker in the game (apart from Su-33 which is a bomber), it bleeds way too much speed in turn and it lacks lift at high AOA as any other Flanker airframe in-game. Calling it a “good dogfighter” is simply delusional. It’s a decent missile bus carried by comically large amount of R-27ERs but nothing more than that.
Like I said it’s about skill and knowing your planes capabilities and you adversary’s the su33 dose not have a bad acceleration it may not be the best but it’s still pretty good I’ve won a good amount of dogfights in the su33 and lost a good amount of dogfights against it like I said for a fighter of it’s size it has good acceleration/speed and can hang in dogfights with other planes in its br
No amount of skill will save you if enemy just has a better plane and equal skill level to yours. Only if enemy pilot is actually worse than you you might get a chance at winning.
lol Not true at all even good players can make mistakes,over calculate, or just be cocky all the amount of skill can save you even when you think it’s over it’s not till you pull out trick that can save you and no I’m not referring to the cobra maneuver although it could be useful at times even against skilled players
If your only game plan is “i hope my enemy messes up” you are not flying a good aircraft, period.

That such a dum thing to say that would be all about positioning and like I said skill to do what’s necessary to get the advantage back all planes in a disadvantages rely on someone or something messing up
So what the f22 is now ass because it couldn’t get the raffle to mess up in the training simulation?
How’s that even correlates with my point? I am saying that if ONLY thing you can do is to hope that your enemy messes up - you aren’t in a good aircraft. And with Su-33 it is exacly like this, if enemy will play “by the book” - you stand zero chance against pretty much anything.
The way I see it, you have R-73’s and R-27’s, you are by no means at a disadvantage. The Su-33 is a straight up UFO. If you are waiting for someone to mess up and to take advantage… that is a pure skill issue. The F-14 is certainly not a match for the Su-33 in the game currently and I have no idea why this is being discussed here… but I’m not gonna waste my time scrolling through this garbage discussion to find out either.
