You know the 13.0 Sea Harrier exists right. Still doesn’t have its IRL flight model or the ability to VIFF.
id honestly would pick that over the F14B 3RD gen fox-3 planes are missile buses and usually have good missiles i loved the F4FICE so it probably be the same

Sub sonic missing 35% of its thrust and 50% of its lift
only gets 4 missiles. no gun.
to be fair gun fighting is rather rare and i wouldnt use that platform as a dogfighter either way
4 aim 120Bs or 2 aim120Bs and 4 9Ms is a good load out for the br it probably have similar plays style to the F1C

speed isnt everything unless your BVRing you dont really need it this is support fighter really
not saying its good at its br but it physically cant go lower without removing its kit
wait for the furballs to start and fire your missiles you have a good chance of catching a few
its just one of those planes that just doesn’t have a place having aim120s at its br makes it far less painful cause when fired at right place and time they always hit
also theres a million other 13.0s that are 15X better than both the F14B and FA2 1 plane doesnt justify 2 planes suffering

I’ve treated the Fakours as basically just SARH first, ARH second, and hard lock most of my opponents. The one good thing about the Fakour is that there is so much thrust to the missile. there will be times I will fire high off boresight shots so I can force the missile into a giant turn where it will come at the enemy from a different angle.
Anyone has any info on this? I’ve always known/just payed around it but now wondering if it can be changed.
The negative vertical soft lock has a limit. When you pitch up to say get extra loft if you past a certain angle you will lose soft lock. (you can see me pitch back down and reacquire the soft lock) Although there is no positive vertical limit for it, other than the radar’s gimbal as I would assume it would be for the negative angle.
Using manual radar control you can not angle the radar past that downward point either. Only if you get a hard lock can you use the full negative gimbal

F-14 from hell
its still objectively pretty bad at 12.7 especially considering how often it goes to 13.0 and 13.3. i mean you start with AIM-9D’s and AIM-54A’s, fighting multiple AESA planes and modernized flankers. at 12.7 it should have AIM-9L and the F-14B should have AIM-9M’s
