From @Vonarian who is tech mod.
Well this is a change, opens a few doors.
We can use some F-14B/D manuals for bug reports now.
Like THE F-14D Flight Manual? This weekend there’s going to be lots of bugreports gathered…
I mean -1.1 manual that is mentioned about performance charts.
Idk about -1 manual. I don’t have one anyway.
Apologies, but Vonarian is mistaken here. You are not permitted to use export-controlled materials. This includes all distribution classifications except for “A – Unlimited”, unless accompanied by a valid FOIA.
I was writing some bug reports from 1995 manual
You could always start the FOI process to confirm the documents status, I’m surprised more effort hasn’t gone into that, given its basically administrative at this point, you don’t even need to pay for copies just confirm its status.
Got my hopes up and everything
I find the Radar of the Tomcat better than that of the Early Flankers.
And before you check, yes, I’ve used both the AWG-9 and N001 extensively.
What is this from
f-14d actually looks like it gets a modern cockpit for once.
also is that back seat or something? where’s the hud
It’s the RIO seat.
You can see the lil ring around the pilot seat by the HUD.
Also.
As far as changes go, that we got for the F-14A/B this update, I feel like we’re leaving empty-handed again. I’ve only noticed 2 or maybe 3 things.
-
Fuel dumping ability was added for all (F-14A, F-14A IRIAF, & F-14B)
-
Minor detailing done on the beaver tail
-
Updated top speed(?)
That third one is a speculation, so please correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve been trying to follow all the data mines. Crossing my fingers that we could get a surprise change before it goes live.
Also this:
“F-14A, F-14B — insufficient maneuverability during maximum overload turns at high speeds has been corrected, oscillation when using mouse aim has been reduced.”
so just more aoa at high speed basically?
I believe so
That’s one of the things I prefer about the F-14 flight model over F-16 and F-15. Now it’ll be even better.
