Extremely low fps when using gunner sight since RTX update

Hey there.

I’ve been experiencing a strange issue in ground battles since the RTX update despite having a good PC. It does not occur in every battle. Sometimes after a few minutes in a match when I start using the gunner sight, my fps completely tanks to 10-20, while I usually have above 100 with maxed out graphic settings and ray tracing on.

I’ve noticed that there’s one setting that I have to turn off for this problem to not appear and it’s “Terrain Displacement Quality”. For some reason it destroys fps performance since the update.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I’ve noticed that frames plummet into the 30s for me when looking down the gunners sight, but only in the black prince.

I have a 5900X, 128GB ram and an RTX 3060 12GB and average 120fps on most maps but still tank in gunners sights in the thing

Geez, way to make me feel small.

used to do a lot of video editing, trust me when you’re working with uncompressed 1080p or higher you really want to have a lot of ram otherwise things can take a few minutes to load, it literally made editing take a third of the time over having 32gb at a slower clock speed

Fine, I’ll go get 128gb of RAM to game, FINE! Have it your way! Lol

lmao i havent gained frames in any game at all, 32gb is more than sufficient for most things. Dont waste your money

I have the same problem, i noticed it’s not all all map, like it’s mostly on that middle east map or vietnam map and of course only gunner sight

Try Device Driver Uninstaller.

I had a Nvidia driver cause issues (red pixels everywhere randomly), noticed it didn’t happen in Bios.

Ran the mentioned Driver file cleaner, and installed the latest update again, and no issues. Nvidia’s clean install doesn’t always remove old files.

Sending Intel link, since it is a trusted website, but you can search for DDU online instead.
