I was playing a match in my M1A2 Sep Abrams. I was doing pretty well and when I saw a Pantsir SM-SV show its face, I decided to shoot my M830A1 MPAT (Multi Purpose Anti Tank) round at it. Seeing as it was behind cover I ranged its radar dish and fired away as a shot in the dark (if you will). The Pantsir began to move and the MPAT round struck its launcher tube, and low and behold, I took out the launcher system but did not kill it as the ammo did not detonate.
Welcome to War Thunder “Russian Bias”. All Soviet and Russian vehicles must overperform all others will be nerfed for “balance”.

Sometimes ammo doesn’t detonate, I think it’s just a random chance of Stalin blessed that missile
your round exploded the interdimensional ammo crate and thus preventing the vehicle from any harm same thing happens to bmpt, it also happens when you strike tanks from T-series you hit the ammo carousel and apparently theres no propellant anywhere to be found so nothing happens it just repairs in 20 second to shot the deformed shells from the recently destroyed carousel bcoz also nothing happened to the shells inside autoloader when it was struck and then it kills you shortly after
