Dm53 came out in 2001 (currently in game)
Dm63 in 2005
Dm73 in 2023
M829A2 in 1994 (currently in game)
M829A3 in 2003
M829A4 in 2016
Then you have the Russian’s
3BM60 Svinets-2 that came out in 2016 (used in all top tier t series)
So explain to me why Nato gets ammo that’s 3 generations older than what Russia is currently running in game and in real life.

Because service dates have nothing to do with shell performance.
The 3BM60 is one of the weaker current top tier shells.

3BM60 still kinda sucks when compared to NATO 120s. 3BM60 is a short rod round, and 120x570 is a long rod, so they are overall better. So the final answer is, Russian rounds are not very good.

If it is worse, then what’s the issue? DM53 and M829A2 are the 2 best top tier shells.

Right but different models do.

Exactly. So what’s the reasoning behind them not adding current munitions on Nato tanks?
Nato tanks are artificially under performing. Why should Russia get their best whereas Nato does not?
Gaijin worried Uncle Vlad will get mad if Russia performs poorly.

And again, the only thing that matters is shell performance. And the 3BM60 is nothing special.

Because top NATO rounds would just turn Eastern style MBTs into a gun motor carriage, pretty much

Cus thats would make point to play M1A2 abrams, at least as "glass cannon
And that would mean that Russian either stop before NATO tanks do in their TT, so Russia wouldn’t have a top tier at all, or that Russian tanks become awful and go down in BR.
You can blame this for that

Because NATOs best is too good for WT right now. Is it that hard to understand?
Because it would be unbalanced and would cause major issues.

T-80UE1 at 11.7 gets 3BM46
Abrams at 11.7 gets M829A2

Cause newer =/= better.
Thanks for proving NATO has better ammo. :)

Yet Gaijin isn’t worried cause Russian equipment does perform poorly in War Thunder.

So this is a matter of balancing even though Gaijin claims this is a “historically accurate” game
An example of this is:
“It provides the Abrams the ability to defeat threat vehicles equipped with third-generation explosive reactive armor.”
Northrup Grumman
Lets look at how many vehicles that the M1 faces that it can now just point and click on.
T-90M
T-80BVM
All T-80s w/ K5
T-90s w/ K5
MBT-2000
VT-4
Literally anything in the Russian and Chinese tech trees anywhere.

NATO realizing their vehicles will face more modern Russian ones because NATO was too good at innovating.

They claim that the vechicles are accurate. I dont recall them ever claiming that they had historical mm.

DO YOU want to let off the information of that? you think nato want their latest ammo specification being given to russian’s game developer?
I mean the Sep V1 and V2 never used A2 ammo so that’s not vehicle accuracy
There’s plenty of info out there already tbh
