Expanded List of Indonesian Vehicles - Ground

I sometimes wonder if the Indonesian military just hates its logistics staff.

For Indonesia its history plus international politics and cost. If a relationship fails you can lean on another and limp though. Good bulk of the equipment Indonesia buys they try to maintain at home (antithesis of the F-35 logic) overall its a extreme example of a diversification / independent policy.

Indonesia is sure of herself that she can handle most storms if USA says no more F-16 parts Indonesia got j-10 and F-16 can be run into the ground or turned into monuments not that big of a issue. Vehicles like the M113 Armored Personnel Carrier uses a lot of common parts so no big issue if the world says no more parts (good luck sanctioning 1950 truck parts)

If you push Indonesia around they just gonna buy more from the party you don’t want them to so the policy works. Provides a lot of flexibility in a worse case situation.

found a closeup on how the RCWS would work

footage quality is bad but i think its clear enough

fun fact, this RCWS would be further refined into this 50 cal variant mounted on the Garda 4x4

The Armored Van looks like General Video Game Armored Vehicle from the early 2000s.

Still in game would be good for infantry mode you got a remote control .50cal and extra space for troopers with what seems to be some light armor.

Latest rumour on Buk, if it’s true they’re gonna arrive at the end of the month
