Expanded List of Indonesian Vehicles - Ground

I see, I wasn’t sure because the turret exists ingame already and (typically) has a reload time of 5 seconds.

Check the fixes for the (upcoming) update.

new camos for the Marine corps’ tanks, me personally im not a fan

BUT! it could work as our desert camo for the future

BTR-4M, BMP-3F, BVP-2, RM-70, Type 90B (among others)

additionally here’s a look at the Badak’s new camo in clear skies

Was about to post that lol, it kinda looks like ROKA camo scheme but the colors are much brighter, personally I prefer the previous dark green-grey-black though

Talking about Marines, we also missing these camo options for Indonesian tanks in-game

interestingly it wasnt there in the showcase at monas, could be late i guess?

Probably

first look at the RSB21 reSAURION medium-range AESA radar for the Trisula Air Defence System. It seems the reason for the delay is because the czech wanted to make a new radar, rather than incorporating the “kosher” version

Medium range radar specs

do note that there’s two variants of the radar, RSB21 (medium-range) and RSB41 (long-range).

Visual difference between the medium (top) and long (bottom)

ReSAURION medium – RETIA
ReSAURION long – RETIA

its likely that the medium-range (200km) is for the Trisula-O & Long-range (400km) is for the Trisula-U

New arrivals of Ex-USMC AAV7A1, unlike the previous SK donated versions, this one has an add-on armor package as well as what looks like the UGWS turret capable of equipping a grenade launcher. Which is new for us (I think?) I dont recall us ever owning any turret other than an MG-only on the AAV

AlphaNovember on X: "Finally new toys for Indonesian Marine Corps. Arrival of ±10 units of ex-USMC AAV7A1 amphibious assault vehicles. Outfitted with the Enhanced Applique Armor Kit and an Up Gunned Weapons Station (UGWS). total of 35 will be delivered in batches. 📷: Willymarley (FB)" / X

A bit unrelated but i researching all weapons and AFV from all branch of Indonesian armed force during Soeharto regime era (mainly for Decorations suggestion or maybe something new for ground) and i bit confused or lack of the years of the weapons operation like example i didn’t found which year MILAN ATGM and Rh 202 AA gun were obtained and operational, What model of Sniper rifle used in the 80s, the model of light vehicle used by ABRI etc

idk but @Indo_Pilot @NFrost51 do you guys have any idea and source i can use for this?

MILAN was obtained only when we brought in the marders, so its a modern thing, but obviously old missiles so we dont use it, we just a truckload of launchers for it (supposedly). Plus it got quickly replaced by the NLAWs

This one is from the 90s, dont remember anything more than that

Winchester 70 for Operation Lotus, Galil galatz is obtained around that timeframe i think (could be later, dont remember 100%)

this one is a bit broad, what are you looking for exactly?

What I usually do is ask around those in the military but its more informal thing. If i need sources then id either scour through keywords on facebook posts/groups (this can take hours though). Main problem is, online sources are few and far between, so the simpler option is to visit your local libraries, you can usually find military books there even on public libraries.

also latgabs or abri anniversaries usually have footage, so you can take a look there, you just gotta search deep for em

Staff cars are quite varied, but it’s usually Jeep CJ or Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 (aka Hardtop), there’s also Volkswagen Type 181 (aka VW Safari).

For trucks, there’s so many models. You got Unimog, REO M35 (and its Korean-made variants), various models of civilian Mitsubishi and Nissan trucks, and others that I don’t remember.

Something equal to jeep or light artillery towing vehicle, Indo_pilot already give some answers

damn so from the 60s to 2014 we have a big gap with ATGM from ENTAC, SS.11, AT-3 to Milan, NLAW and Javelin

Okay i see

and for Marine corps i assume they mostly still use Soviet era weaponry from small arms to artillery, but i not sure which AT weapons the Marines use in New Order era

oh also i found out that some weapons in SIPRI but i never saw any picture of it within ABRI like Soviet and French 120mm mortar

@NFrost51 @Indo_Pilot i think i found most of think i want to know except few thing like Marines AA asset that i found nothing aside of 37mm 61-K and 85mm 52-K and Strela & BMP-2 “SPAA” in the 90s

the same thing with AT weapons, like i found mention of Yugoslavian AT weapons but M80 Zolja iirc is coming from post break up Serbia which left me with M57 (RPG-2 Copy)

Land Rover Defender with single 12.7mm M2HB. Although the soldiers appears to wore magenta berets, the photo came from a notorious Facebook account that posts inaccurate AI-colorized photos, thus I’m not sure if they’re from the Marine Corps.

ABRI (including Police) is known to use Yugoslav M57.

There’s several heavy mortars displayed at Satriamandala Museum. I don’t remember the types, I might have to dig through my old photos to see if I took a photo of the info plaque.

Afaik Marines also operated the 57mm S-60 at some point. Otherwise, it is widely known that the Marines is severely lacking in terms of air defense.

iirc Marines received LG1 howitzers in the 1990s.

BR 1.0 SPAA potential and idk maybe it is marines vehicle

it’s most likely 107mm US mortar from the square baseplate (soviet mortar use round baseplate) but US M2 107mm use monopod instead of bipod, maybe another Yugoslav thing?

iirc Marines received LG1 howitzers in the 1990s.

from what i can dig LG1 is brand new product in 90s so Marines is the earliest customer of this howitzer

oh yeah btw i found a YT video from 2 years ago about the Navy towed AA asset

@Indo_Pilot you are right with the S-60 operated by the navy and there also Bofors L/70 and V-11 twin 37mm and there is a chance that cannon is formerly from KRI Irian

S-400 is a possibility

Redirecting...

dunno why we’re complicating things when we already have this mess to deal with in the future
