Expanded List of Indonesian Vehicles - Air

Thx for the info.

Based on the second pic, wouldn’t it be a total of 8 LAU-131? 6 on 2 TER, and 2 single launchers on the outer pylon.

maybe because it has Isr*el origin 🫢🫣

"The T-50 aircraft now possesses highly capable weaponry, having been equipped with a radar system and a gun—features it previously lacked.

“We decided to equip it with a radar because the capability might be required. Since the radar was installed more recently, it is currently more advanced than the one on the F-16, though it will become even better following further upgrades,” he explained. (Public Relations Bureau, Secretariat General of the Ministry of Defense)"

this is as close as we get to a confirmation that it has a radar from an official source

what variant? something better than the AN/APG-68(V). The two options of its radar was the AN/APG-67 & the KM-2032, you can make the guess yourself which is more likely

Ah you’re right, I rarely saw T-50i utilizing the outer pylons and I just forgot about them lol

Additional MoD source that stated the T-50i gun radar was certified in 2022

Due to the “secrecy” around the radar type, I wouldn’t be surprised if they used the EL/M-2032

New Mi-35 has been spotted flying, it may be the rumoured Mi-35M

rumors on the street suggests that the visit by the president to Russia includes discussion on the Su-57, obviously not grounded in anything but something to keep in mind

if this goes on, HUT RI parade will have more aircraft variety than LIMA or Pitch Black lol

also for people who thinks its the same as the Mi-35P, you can easily identify it by the fixed landing gear . But another key difference lies on the wing pylons, from the looks of it it seems to have 4x pylons (2x on each side), but our Mi-35P has 6 pylons (3x on each side)

comparison (left is the new hind, right is the old one)

EDIT:

found an alternative image on the KERIS post’s comment section

Also, its gun is located on the chin, instead on the cheek/starboard side of the cockpit like the Mi-35P, and notice that the tail rotor is 4-blade X-shaped instead of 3-blade Y-shape in the Mi-35P

UPDATE V16

As per recent developments, moved the Mi-35M from future to in-service

what does it exactly say?

GFP is the global firepower index, its used all the time when the avg news articles mention Indonesia’s strength, when its a lousy ranking at best and incorrect at worst

its being said sarcastically here

I cant say whether its right or wrong, but here’s the current news regardless:

“Yup, there will be 3 Su35 units that will join the parade in October. Whether they’ve arrived or not, I don’t know, but considering the purpose of being present at the October parade, by this September the 3 units should already start arriving.”

“2 of knockdown SU-35 already in Makassar & on assembly process, another knockdown one will come soon, three will be available before the 5th of October”

Can’t wait to see them, I wish they had gone with F-15EXs personally but this is still cool, still like Flankers too

Indonesian B-26B Invader for the new update. Can carry soviet ordinances but its also missing a lot of armament options

welp, with Malaysian Sabre and A-4 it’s would likely Indonesian version just goes premium, AURI Soviet aircraft would potentially come later.

I also noticed that the right wing is empty and has no marking. I assume maybe Gaijin is confused on whether they had to put either “AURI” or “TNI-AU” text on the wing

1950s and 60s aircraft should be using AURI marking. @NFrost51 well now you need to make bug report about B-26B Ordnance and marking

tbf the air force museum scale model has it as a roundel on top

image

the auri text is put below the port-side on the actual aircraft
