Expanded List of Indonesian Vehicles - Air

That black paint on the outside around the cockpit makes it look like an Su-35 Lol!

Upscaled Image with Gemini

yeah its the same (or atleast very similar) as the Su-30, the only thing different is the updated tail insignia

the front area is the original wavy-esque grey and white, whereas the rear area starting from the wing has that blocky squares looking thing

cancelled pretty much, there’s not really a whole lotta news about it so cant really say anything other than that

I see. Are you planning to include it in the honorable mention list? I’m pretty sure it fits the criteria to be on that list especially with its complete specifications.

not really no, the HM section is for materialized things basically, the problem with the heli is that it wasnt fully-built

maybe in the future ill add it but as things stand most likely not

Was it partially built?

wasnt built-built, the only thing made was a modelkit representation of what it couldve look like

Unconfirmed reports of Indonesia planning on getting the Astra Mk1 BVRAAM

Apparently its going to be discussed during PM Modi’s visit to Indonesia, which is happening at this moment (6-8 July).

Most likely would be for the Su-30, since we will use the Meteor on the rafale. Plus India had offered to modify our Sukhois in the past, so its not too far fetched

of course, no clue what tier this guy is in the Indian scene, so take it with a grain of salt

EDIT: NVM i missed the news, was confirmed via reuters

NEW DELHI, July 7 (Reuters) - India will supply BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles and Astra air-to-air missiles to Indonesia, an Indian government official said on Tuesday, as ‌Indian Prime Minister Nahrendra Modi started a two-day visit to Jakarta.

worth noting, unlike the Brahmos, it is not a deal just yet, so it probably wouldnt be here anytime soon, but still an interesting development nevertheless

is it known if it is the surface or air launched Brahmos?

was mentioned to be several batteries for coastal defence, so presumably ground use, I havent seen anything about the air-launched version

doubt it air launch version because at the start Indonesia only interested in Coastal battery version of Brahmos

would the astra mk1 be better than the r-77-1? seems to be basically base r-77 clone

probably more range and less pull
due to the lack of grid fins

this is the specs
