But funny HMV super speed Type 11 :(
About this you should check another my message
It’s a shame, but that’s a downside I’ll gladly take for a potential top tier Type 93
Since the Type 11 will be a sidegrade at best, I guess we could just skip it and go straight to the Chu Sam. Vertical launch with 8 tubes and 50km range will make it a very welcome SLM analogue. And then in the far future we can get the Kai with 70km, and then finally japanese patriot system
Chu-SAM and Chu-SAM Kai both has 6 tubes per vehicle
Tbh the range of Chu-SAM Kai is not really known as I understand but maybe it should be longer than Chu-SAM
It’s the same for the Type 81C—the optical sight is used on ground. The Type 81C displays the optical FCS image on its sight. That’s why many Japanese players were surprised that the Type 81 was added to the game without TADS. I don’t know Gaijin’s standards, but if the key factor was the optical FCS turret, the Type 11 might not be added, or its TEL-only engagement capability might be omitted.
The Type 11’s optical sight (interception control unit) is described as being able to “output radio command signals and stop signals to the missile.” Isn’t this related to LOBL? Everything I mentioned is based on the “陸上自衛隊仕様書 11式短距離地対空誘導弾 GGM-Y620001D” document.
Yeah sorry i meant 6 tubes
Type 81C still has this sight where camera for player can be attached but Type 11 has problem that here isn’t any camera like this. Well maybe they will find the way to resolve it
Hm, interesting.
Stop signals for missiles sounds like commas for self detonation and it sounds possible but output command signals sounds like UTDC unit but I am doubt this small thing can have datalink feature for missile. But it doesn’t looks like LOBL
Need to read this document too
The camera’s video output is located on the ground, outside the vehicle, not inside.
It doesn’t mean that UTDC or self-destruct commands can be sent. It means that radio signals can be transmitted to or stopped for the missile inside the launcher. It seems my previous translation was inaccurate—my apologies.
I was confused at first, but I now understand what you’re saying. As you pointed out, the issue is indeed different when the camera is mounted on the vehicle versus when it is outside the vehicle. It really comes down to how we handle the point of view—whether we virtually place it on the launcher, position it above the cabin like the current vehicle-length perspective, or install it on the ground. I’m genuinely curious about what the final decision will be.
yeh i cant even play tan sam for Japan it is so bad rn 90% of your missiles will hit the ground the ai that controls the sam"s is so bad they really need to fix it
Yes. it is exactly what I meant. Sorry it was written not clearly.
There is nothing wrong with your writing. It was entirely due to my lack of understanding. Thank you for your kind guidance.

Sorry, was not aware. Will keep in mind for the future.
I’d like to make use of this thread adn even though it is slightly off topic, I’m putting this link here. It regards the missing IIR Type 91 missile on the Type 93.
I have whole japanese tech tree but is this new spaa even worth grinding guys need thoughts and opinions. I love type81c it is great but have many drawback but i love it because I can hide it now with 3 trucks idk
It got accepted yayay now we gotta wait years for implementation
ATM it’s just shit, radar is good to locate targets but you essentially become useless the moment an SLM spawns in. Also it’s unusable at close range and the missile will trigger enemy RWR so they can notch it or run away
It’s been there for weeks and no reaction, now I sent it here and suddenly it’s accepted. 💀 Well, there’s hoping we might one day see it.
I just wish there was a pure search mode, so you could choose if you want to lock a target, and ideally manually choose what target to lock through line of sight even outside of the radar menu (and when controlling the launchers).
As is it’s a bit annoying to be turning the radar on and off, especially with the delay it takes to do both.
