So I haven’t been up to date on this thread for a few weeks, but upon reviewing the list of bug reports only a single issue has been properly resolved and labeled as such - the TEL being able to use the UAV scout marker.
Naturally, this issue was not specific to the Tan-SAM, I saw that the IRIS-T SLM also had a similar bug report open which is probably why it got fixed.
Somehow the most easy to resolve issue has still not been touched (radar rotating in the wrong direction), not to mention the multitude of gamebreaking issues present in the vehicle. There have been several reports closed with no resolution though. Very slick.
Something something minor nation, can’t have nice things
Something something Gaijin being a bunch of lazy fucks. Yes, fucking report this comment if you want to, but Gaijin released a major update that had more stuff NOT working than working, and even over a month later it is still fucked. Tan-SAM and SPYDER are as bad as the day they came out (by bad I mean absolutely tragic, SPYDER doesn’t even have working missiles).
I guess people are fine with Gaijin because they are oblivious to this, with the large majority of the playerbase only caring about their little bubble of US, Germany and USSR. I emailed a major youtuber a few days ago about all this hoping that they would make a video showcasing Gaijin’s absolute lack of interest and will to fix actual issues. I sent them a link to this thread as well as the SPYDER thread, just so they can get an idea of how bad things are.
Hopefully its MatAWG that he emailed. Every other content creator focuses more on gameplay content, not saying Mat doesn’t either, but he does share more details of bug fixes and such too. The rest, not so much.
According to the wiki, multiplying “finAoa” by 90 degrees apparently calculates the missile’s wing angle. The current 81C missile’s Aoa is 12.15 degrees. However, the specifications document stated it was 20 degrees.(7.1.5.5)
Wouldn’t a temporary solution, for the bug that causes the launchers to always reload when using both missile types, be a fixed loadout? 2x ARH + 2x IR, always. JGSDF seem to often run the system like this anyway. This temporary solution sounds to me like much better than either having to only use one missile type or ‘‘reloading’’ endlessly. Both missiles have their ups and downs and being able to use both of them would make the system much more effective.
Yes, and they “reload” every time you try to switch between the launchers. Maybe it’s just a middle finger from Gaijin telling Japanese mains to eat sheet.
