Your average in the MiG-21 Lazur is 1.36 kills per battle. Somehow doubt you magically average 3 when it’s an uptier.
Because it is a damn strong 10.3 already.
That also simply is the way Gaijin operates usually.
i found it to be quite mid when i played it, also on all the 10.3 (or arround) matches i have played most mirage 3S’s end up dying while doing nothing
I play ground, skews my stats. Look at the mirage 3c, i only really use it in air.
You expect much else when its crewed by german mains?
It can be quite the beast. It suffers mist from disintegrating teams no matter if it is a uptier or downtier.
eh, i wouldnt really say that, imo both the mirage3CJ and mirage5balls are more fun aircraft, despite the 3cj being flareless and the balls being a mirage 5
How so?
they feel nicer to fly, like the CJ despite only having 9Ds is still quite fun, feels more agile and fast and feels like it performs better in like every way and imo i prefer the matra 530 over the falcons bc of the range and the fact that you can carry an ir guided one, and the 5balls fells idk, more responsive? if thats the word, despite not having radar/radar missiles it makes it feel like a way nicer plane (in fact i got my highest kill match record in the mirage5 balls of 9 kills), the 3s feels like, eh? like it feels so much heavier and unresponsive, the missiles are kinda mid tbh, the 9Es are well, kinda useless and the falcons are more of a gimick since thanks to this plane now like 95% of planes that can carry chaff carry them and so you basicaly end up being a heavy gun fighter that gets outperformed by 90% of the aircraft of the br, like really, i dont know which or if any 10.3 aircraft that are not strike aircraft loose the 1v1 against the 3S and even with the rocket booster it feels quite underpowered
Mirage IIIC/E and 5 would lose the 1v1 most likely.
Mirage IIIS has a easier time on the offensive. I kill many people with the AIM-26 I really should not because it somehow is less obvious than the 530 regarding burn time I guess.
Having two AIM-26 allows you to be more aggressive.
The canards allow you to be more aggressive at times. Keeping energy can be a little harder of course and the top speed is a little lower but that doesn’t matter as much.
Having two AIM-26 at 10.3 instead of having one 530 at 10.7 is quite the upgrade as well.
Objectively it is the best Mirage III/V variant at the moment even though it is a little heavier.
The kfir c10 beats it in basically every way
i remember watching videos of like experienced players and the IIIs only won against the E, tho i could be misremembering.
but going back, giving it 9Ps would not really mean it would really go up in br, the mig21MF that has a similar ish kit (2 radar missiles, 2 ir missiles) is still 10.3 and got moved down from 10.7, and based on how gaijin balances brs the mirage also would not go up in br bc its unable to bomb, tbh the fact that they said that they balance brs on average SL (or was it score?) gains per match is insane
iirc it was on average performance, without specifying further. That is also the reason the Tornados are still 0.3 BR apart, despite being the same… So some kinda mix of A2A and A2G performance…
My guess is that if the IIIS is performing quite good at 10.3 they will raise it, bit also give it the P-3… But who knows what the BR-gods decide. All we know is that they don’t really listen to us mortals…
speaking of brs, the f104S and ASAs brs make no sense, like wdym the asa is the same br as the tornado ADV
i decided to play it again and holy shit this thing is a big pice of ass 🔥🔥🔥
The main problem the IIIS C.70 has - apart from its absolutely unrealistic loadout per se - is that the AIM-9E’s are much less capable in a turn fight situation than the 9P, 9J and especially the Magic 1: The 9E can much more easily just be outmaneuvered, and the slight aerodynamical advantage the canards give the MIRO doesn’t really play a significant role at all: Not much use to be able to do tighter turns if the missiles you use can’t keep up with it, while the missiles of your (slower turning) opponents very well out-turn you.
Or in short: In the IIIS you need to be much more careful setting up your attack geometry because of the 9E.
If you end up dogfighting missilies something went wrong.
Granted AIM-9E does not have the same flight envelope as some of the other missiles but you have the flight performance, AIM-26 and Br placement to make up for it for the most part.
Yes the Kfir which is a Mirage 5 derivate not a variant of it.
It likely could be seen as a variant of it but it should have been clear that I did not include it simply because of the obvious superiority you pointed out.
The Mirage IIIC and IIICj are nearly identical in weight, the Cj has a tiny bit less fuel capacity (66kg less on a full tank) so on equivalent fuel % it will be slightly lighter, but not enough to make a significant or noticeable difference. The V and IIIE and IIIS are a whole ton and more heavier and suffer significant performance impact from it.
Yeah the two Falcos are just not reliable enough to make up for the lack of a maneuverable IR missile since they get one-chaffed and only have relatively narrow zone of engagement.
On top of that the drag and weight of them affects you badly so if you try to save them for later in a match because wasting them on the climbers who will most likely have chaff is a waste then it becomes an issue.
I feel like the IIIS could easily stay at 10.3 with two basic aim9p.
