Every plane should get manuever mode toggle

The whole point is avoid situations like with the F-14

You completely missed the point of my post

no. they just chose the planes themselves what would have it and what not. some planes with irl “maneuver toggle” don’t have it.

too much work on creating a pseudo instructor. more, yes, all? no

the “maneuver button” isn’t based on whether an aircraft actually has it or not

@S-200VE_Vega
Maneuver mode toggle is a plane feature, not a game feature.

There’s a reason it’s only on aircraft that have it as a feature IRL.

it is added on different aircraft based on gaijin’s discretion, not whether an aircraft has it irl or not
go ask a tech mod or community manager if you dont believe me

Presently you cannot report an aircraft for lack of the AOA limits removal button. Only aircraft that were planned to get it, got it. Its developer discretion on what gets it or not.

I think hes more asking for easier way to to go into full real controls for RB. Currently you have to cycle multiple times, or create a script to make it 1 button which watching some of these guys sort of seems thats what they do, not even sure if thats against ToS.

The other problem for RB is you have to use realistic joystick to completely remove the instructor, not simplified. And realistic joystick forces inverted controls scheme opposite of air RB logic and its jarring to use.

Having a button to just turn the instructor off/on would be amazing.

The feature to do this is already in game, its just overly convulted to use. I havent used the cobra button actually, im assuming this is all it is doing, just turning off the instructor, and keeping RB control scheme and not forcing you into inverted controls, or having to cycle 4 times through a list of control schemes.

I asked about it a while back as well and got no answer: https://forum.warthunder.com/t/full-real-controls-hotkey-not-cycle/173061

Even aircraft ingame with it didn’t have something like it IRL. There was no such feature in the F-15 yet it has it ingame.

Well technically, instructor is required for mouse aim. A manuever button doesn’t turn off instructor, rather it turns off instructor’s limits that normally stop you from getting into spins.

I love doing cobras in a phantom :D

Bf-109 Cobra when???

ALL F14s had it @AlvisWisla
its on number #7

ive also heard a select few others TORNADO JF-17 F16 i have no evidence for these

complete bias as the maneuver button is a massive advantage in a gunfight just look at F/A-18 at 12.3 nothing can beat it in a dogfight

There was a reconsince F4 called YF4E which had canards and was the testbed for agile eagle

THIS. This is the part everyone here is missing. It doesn’t matter if I fly to New York City, go to the Intrepid, Park myself in an F-14 Tomcat Cockpit, and take pictures of it having an AoA limiter disabler. Why? Some DEV team halfway across the world decided it didn’t have one, and then on top of that said, “Nope, no other planes have this feature”. What the real problem here is the devs not wanting to do their job to the full extent.

Yes.

Fair response to my reply.
My reply did lack words to specify “If it’s able to be bug reported.”

Yes, give my A6Ms the AoA button >:)

This is not the case, the Devs aren’t denying the existence of the feature on specific aircraft. They are just introducing this feature on specific airframes only. The basis for its addition isn’t if it has the button or not, its developer discretion.

Honestly I hope for a full on rework.

The unlimited “maneuver mode” should jist be the default for planes that don’t have AoA limits in reality, at least for the RB mode (in SB that’s already the case iirc). Sure, you could then stall planes in RB, but that’s something that can be played around.

Then planes with AoA limiters should get their real limits as default. For example 28° AoA planes then get a 28° AoA hard limit in regular flight controls, making them easier to control but also less agile than unlimited planes.
If Gaijin really want to simplify it they can still just use the mouse aim limiter here, but I think a historical one makes more sense.

Then the Maneuver mode can be modeled into actual override, true to the real plane. Some turn the AoA limits off, some allow for higher limits and all make their respective aircraft more unique.
Or if they go for the non-historical route, just turn off the mouse aim limiter for the planes that had an override.

Anyways the most important point is that aircraft that didn’t have AoA limits at all shouldn’t be more limited in game than those that have then but can turn them off.

So ingame, they decided what planes have the feature instead of correctly modeling the feature for all compatible planes. I was talking about them deciding they didn’t have one in WT. The point is, it’s easily researchable that these planes have the capability in real life, but somehow, someway, because the devs “missed” this, the F-14, Tornado, and other planes will never have the ability to use this feature. Because it’s very conveniently “not bugreportable”.

I hope you can see how this is an issue.
