It is my experience, that the north side of the ‘European Province’ map is broken, and favours the west team. This is especially true at top tier.
Here is a list of some of the problems i have about the north part of the map:
- The forest west of the east spawn is a huge spawn camping area. It is almost impossible for the east team to see campers - even with good thermals, while the west team can see and shoot anything that drives around or over the ridge.
- There is a treeline that cover the west teams’s route the the above mentioned camping area.
- The hill south of the east spawn is taller then the ridge in a way so you can shoot into the spawn from a hull-down position.
- There are also trees on the hill, that make campers harder to spot.
- The ridge that is supposed the protect the east spawn is too steep for returning fire from a hull-down position.
- Spawn protection don’t protect the east team for enough time to get over the ridge where you are most exposed.
- Almost nobody play the alpha objective, because the routes from either spawn has almost no cover.
My suggestions:
I would suggest that the areas i have marked on the above map sould be revised, to at least make leaving the north-east spawn and returning fire at campers easier. I also think that the map should encourage playing the alpha objective by having more solid cover on the routes to it.
