bc its a very notable and real tactic used by most militaries, with the tanks and aircraft we have ingame?
drone markers arent limited to squad though no?
Game balance and enjoyment should take precedence.
Yeah i wasn’t thinking my bad.
Wait are they, i think it’s just that nobody ever uses them
if they arent, then having them as something map-lock can snap onto would work outside of squads.
would at least let EFT employ brimstones without spending too much time looking for target, or at least knowing what is priority target (if drone operator/squadmates are competent)
They aren’t, but currently have extremely limited use. the fact that scouting in a drone does not bring any kind of reward is really a shame. It should obviously not work the same way as scouting does, but currently there isn’t enough incentive for players to use them. giving them the possibility to create GPS/CCP marks for other players would be interesting and not that OP imo, as it would mostly add a capability to SAL which aren’t the dominant weapons (looking at IR kh38 and AASM)
assists for any scout drone user that has a friendly aircraft use their marker to guide in a missile or bomb?
It should honestly be something like if you marked a target and he dies in the next 30 seconds you get a small reward, no scouting bonus.
Also i am pretty sure no one will use it like that, at most it would be used for taking down aa, but a simple drone marker is already enough, and what if there’s multiple drones around, how do you choose where to target.
Nah, I’ve been loving grinding the ground event in the EFT 😛
I just discovered how good its in sim grb, first match i got 5000 score which is 10k with the multipliers.
Good thing because i want to sell it.
Yep, that’s been my experience. Had one game that nearly 2.5k just because I took off and rippled all my AMRAAMs before I had even retracted my landing gear 🤣
Yeah its ridiculous that you take off and the enemy aircraft are already within 10 miles.
And then if you win you camp their airfield.
Yeah, both of the AFs need to be moved a good 20+km further away from the battlefield.
I’ve even been killed by a Pantsir in take-off. That’s how close they are
And yeah, had a game where I was totally uncontested except for a single su34 that spawned in half way through the match. The moment the RWR ping came through I turned, locked and fired
Both air spawn and airfield need to be moved way further. imo, above 10.0, the first held spawn should be removed, the further help spawn stay were it is (maybe add a second one in another direction), and airspawns should be moved about 20-30km away with airfields in those areas, to be able to take off away from AAs
Yeah, I’ve always thought they should just move the forward Heli spawn onto the AF, then it’s protected by the AA. But this is getting off topic now
So… Another question then. Why do German and Italian Typhoons get Paveway IVs despite never being used by either nation, but Britain doesnt get access to GBU-48s?
honestly, it makes no sense since they basically all do the same thing
There’s some wires being crossed here, it says the Mk.18 is 546.5 Kg bomb so a 1000+ Pound bomb, but the physical model literally says it’s a 500 pound bomb, it’s the same bomb as the paveway IV, just with a different guidance kit. What is the Mk.18?
Edit: You can’t see because of compression but just check in game, honestly the british eurofighter should also get the 1000 pound paveway, you should put a report in, gaijin already said everyone would get the same ordonance, maybe they thought the mk.18 would be a replacement but there’s something wrong.
Regarding the different versions of the planes and the fact that the Rafale and Typhoon are not added to the game in their initial configurations.
This is how I see it.
I am very surprised that the snail did not start with these vehicle. I see the starting machines (which MUST be added in the future) as the Typhoon F2 and Rafale C F2. Armed with the current set of missiles, deprived of the HMD, PIRATE and AESA.
Then come the current versions of the vehicle. Early FGR.4 and C F3R. But with improved missiles, asraam, 120C and “longer” ARH MICA with basic MICA IR.
And the final version is the late FGR.4 and C F4. The latest versions of missiles (120D and MICA NG) plus meteors, plus AESA for the Typhoon and replacing the HMD with the Striker 2 model.
