Yes it can priority track up to 20 targets and guide atleast 6 missles to those targets at the same time irl
oh well then iam sorry to inform you that the IRbis-E has a max gimbal limit of 120° to one side
so 240° of gimbal from side to side
Using mechanical+esa
I missunderstood, yes 240 side to side but detection at the edge is more important
Yeas, i didn’t doubt that, im just saying i don’t know how it would compare to an ESA like the EF, because the EF would have ±70 from mechanical and whatever the ESA can Steer as well.
iirc irbis has like 60° of mechanical gimbal (or howerver much this is)
but it is getting of topic if you have more questions lets move to the flanker thread
Playing Typhoon trying to play more passively as the Radar and missiles are not designed for brawling/aggressive plays.
The Radar makes it real tough though. I am so jealous of 90% of aircraft having a better Radar
it was proposed but not added yet
@Gunjob can you talk about stuff which might be solved next?
Maybe the EF could get an Working Radar?
That’s a marketing lie :P
I tried the EF again in sim to grind, and it’s not bad, granted i haven’t played against RU or FR (the ones that have pesa/aesa) players but i pretty much always won against f-15/f-16/f-18, got team killed twice by su-30 (don’t they have a good radar?)
Aircraft radar is meaningless once the missile activates its own, the players won’t have any control over the missile after that point.
Its best to not launch ARH’s into furballs or dogfights.
I generally don’t like it when your perfect dogfight gets interrupted by others…
That’s the thing, it wasn’t in a dogfight, they saw me as an enemy on radar and locked, not realizing i was friendly, and my rwr is set to enemy only, so i didn’t know.
Does the Su-30 not have NCTR on Sim cockpit?
he might have been using his IRST only
and there is no IFF on IRST
I am pretty sure its the only aircraft with NCTR in cockpit right now.
The EF can tell what it’s looking at too, i use it all the time in sim.
It shows aircraft (F-15/Su-27/etc) on the bottom left on the radar screen.
I hope gaijin adds something like a x over the lock chevron for friendly aircraft, easiest way to tell if friend.
My Rafale doesn’t have it yet
:c
i dont think it will get it unless sombody makes a bug report on that pointing out where it should be and how it looks irl
