Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 3)

Trying to notch while it wobbles around is a real headache

and then by the time you actually get into the notch, the BOL chaff does bugger all

Clearly thats what they meant by anunstable design, right? right??

Ha ha of course if only we had persisted with poorly riveted together modernised legacy 70s airframes. We too could have been the best in this online computer game.

I disagree here

This is cope
I have already demonstrated that

Yes the euro’s instructor is garbage
Sure the CAS loadout takes some skill to use
but it’s not bad
and BOL chaff is not as garbage as you claim it is

Congratulations.

meanwhile, Im still dropping 30-50 chaff to notch anything and even in a notch, sometimes the missile just ignores the chaff entirely.

But if it changes nothing, what harm is there in buffing BOL chaff performance by at least 4x. If not more given it should be better than the Soviet analogue used for everything

Then you’re not notching properly

Which is your fault, not the plane’s

If BOL Chaff is fine, why is notching in the Tornado F3 extremely hard but in the Tornado GR4 its extremely easy? The F3 should have the advantage given it has the better FM, it does not.

And tell me where should i be placing the MAWS missile warning to “notch properly”?

I swear some people just like some aircraft being artificially nerfed. Id laugh a lot if they made all chaff perform the same as BOL Chaff.

90-95 degrees which is generally the notch angle assuming you’re not pulling AOA

probably because you can’t notch properly and are reliant on large cal cms to do the work for you?

Congratualtions. That is PRECISELY where it is. Where is always is. And im still dropping at least 20-30 chaff. every. single. time.

So I guess it isnt me. Must be the BOL chaff being 1/4 the strength of a regular chaff

Chaff often isn’t necessary when defending, but when it is, yeah bol chaff is a far less pleasant experience than alternatives.

In NE, where you have threats come out of no where, with little warning. Its basically your only option.

Trying to notch a missile at 10km with BOL chaff is more luck than anything else

Well idk what you’re doing because it worked just fine for me

I surely don’t have to explain that MICAs need more chaff than regular Fox-3s right?

Ehhhh. I don’t chaff too often in NE, mainly because the primary threat can’t be chaffed and other threats are usually dealt with fine by notching.

Custom battle doesnt have to deal with Gaijins servers being terrible, and thats just ARB, let alone Buggy Escalation.

When you actually factor all the server issues. It just compounds the problems,

But again, if it isnt a big deal. What is the harm in actually fixing it?

Or are we just accepting that some artificial nerfs are fine?

if so, looking forward to the SU-30SM2 and Rafale going from LCMs to BOL CMs for “balance”

Im having a real issue at the moment with jets just not being visible, on radar, visually, markers, etc etc until all of the sudden ive got incoming missiles and then all at once, they appear on everything.

had an F-16 and Typhoon appear literally out of no where about 10km in front me.

I think the NE servers are dying

That is definitely an issue that is cropping up, but most of the missiles that don’t pop up are Ito launched in my experience, so damned if I do chaff damned if I don’t. It’s in a dire state.

They definitely are not in a good way, can’t wait for cluster bombs to burn them down proper ._.

Yeah, nothing you can do vs an ITO, unless it decides to swap targets or you put a hill in the way, you are dead 99% of the time. But the Aster-30s, S-300s (sometimes), Some naval launched missiles, etc. Can be notched, but its a chore to do it.

Aster is tedious chaff or not, doesn’t seem to particularly care what chaff you’re using, just stays being a pest unless you notch it proper. Takes a short century to give up alongside it.
