Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 3)

what is it suppose to prove ? because as of right now, we’re in the brochure is the only info situation here, just like kh38mt

its also from almost 10 years before it entered service…

and over a year before first prototype flew

That dual AMRAAM’s is possible? And this isn’t brochure info either, this from the said Eurofighter Program. Those pylons are able to work with both ASRAAM/IRIS-T and AMRAAM’s.

Hey, we’ll gladly trade 8x Spice-250s and 2x AGM-88Cs for 18x Mode 3 Brimstone 3s.

It literally says 6 AMRAAM max

you sure about that?

because your source seems to indicate otherwise…

aww here we go again, saying red while you understand blue.
read.

i never said its not possible, is it as matter of fact they already have the fox2 dual pylon. but its just is never said on any document of the current tranch 3A Eurofighter, but was see only on a latest tranch 5.

which both dual fox3 and spice250 is compatible. while they arent with 3A

Just shown you a picture that predates the Tranche 5. Said dual pylon, it still states the missile loadout can be increased to 10 with the dual rack.
image

In the picture it says MFRL

The 6 ASRAAM 4 AMRAAM still fulfills that 10 missile thing

Which can still be AMRAAM’s on said MFRL

Its a document from 10 years before the Typhoon actually entered service. The reality is that each and every pylon on the wing, except for the outer most SRAAM/BOL pylons are the same, so they could in theory take 1x AMRAAM/Meteor per pylon, without any adapter. Loads of marketing material for a 6+6 fit with an MRAAM mounted on the inner most pylon

Planned fit and maximum capability are different things, especially in peace-time vs war-time.

And the dual rack MRAAMs are a much newer thing, 30 odd years after that source. You could argue that that document is only referring to Aim-120Bs and not later fits of C5s or C8s or Meteors.

Though quitely frankly, the fact we got the double rack pylons at all was a surprise to me, and likely Gaijins attempt to keep the Typhoon competitive vs things like the F-15C GE and Su-30SM2, so that they could hold off giving it its real A2A weapons fit of Meteors.

can you understand me ?

i said

so let me say it clear, just show me any of the eurofighters can carry amram there.

and this

is for the pylon and not the aircraft itself.

show me a good enough source, any tranche. i will wait for you

This is pre service by alot

Clearly there is a reason they considered MFRL for the ASRAAM but capped it at 6 AMRAAM in that source

Cockpit symbology shows it can handle dual AMRAAMS on those pylons and the racks used on the Eurofighter are multifunction

Stated in the first sentence.

?

what cockpit symbology

are you talking about the simulator MFD again?

and yet thats the only one ? kinda not hard proof.

You’ve been given proof, I’m not going to keep looping around again and again about the subject, you haven’t provided any proof that it can’t.

That was pretty blatantly what it was imo
