Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 3)

I have no idea what the release pattern is for 4x BOL vs 2. It might just be the Gripen E is dropping double the BOL per press, increasing effectiveness, that or you can just spam more.

You also have 80 LCMs + 12 CMs that will augment the BOL too, so might be some of those being dropped in the mix

Fucked if I know. Just looked back and saw my flares with next to zero velocity and was super confused as to how I’d managed to survive for so long off BOL alone.

If I had more energy I’d look into it in more depth

Tail code conveniently left out. Looks like an Eglin mudhen, though.

Carriage =/= certification. Else the mudhen would have AGM88s ingame.

Like the Eurofighter’s extra AMRAAM’s? Or double R-77 racks on Su-30?

have you tried to use a mediocre M scan radar against ESA radars?
there is no world in which the F15E radar is “solid” for the BR

same as every other F15 (besides CGE) even F15A should have detailed NCTR, but they invented a fictional version of the radar to deny it

you can reliably defeat them by preflaring and turning, which F15E cant do for long because it doesnt get enough flares

it doesnt for GRB, if you bring a targeting pod you lose half your countermesures (it shouldnt but does), and GBU-53 camera isnt good enough to replace a targeting pod

and is EFT cleared for 24?

because the only sources for that are brochures not actual documentation or images

Like they had advertised on a simulator, implying it does have the capability, unlike the F-15E which outright does not? Again, carriage is not capability.

Did I say it was? I was criticising the logic of “but too OP” rather than any technical capability

you mean the capability that was advertised by being mounted on an aircraft? implying it does have the capability

Which is why it is 14.0. With every other M scan that has otherwise excellent performance.

You can reliably defeat them by not flying in a straight line and getting in their range too btw

Carriage =/= capability, as you conveniently left out. That is an evaluation jet out of (assumedly) Eglin AFB.

ok?

how tf is being seen on a simulator (with unknown parameters) MFD better evidence

Defence contractors famously waste time adding fictional capabilities outside of the scope of the client’s contract to simulators. They definitely love adding extra complexity and software maintenance.

again the parameters for the simulator are unknown

it could be set up as something like EFT of 2040 trying to show of potential capabilities not actual capabilities

What simulator was EFT extra AMRAAM advertised in? Or Su-30 twin racks. Or Kh-38MT

I’ll believe EFT 24x SPICE 250 when I see it

How do you know F-15E isn’t cleared for wing BRU 61 anyways. Was it another simulator?

because hes not seen a picture of a simulators MFD thats showing it

It was extra MBDA Meteor actually, but I don’t think anyone who plays this game is ready for that idea yet.

All of this is completely pointless, though. No EF2K operator even uses the spice bomb, and imo they shouldn’t even be on the aircraft ingame. Brimstone should be implemented correctly.

You can ask literally any F-15E crew chief or air crew and they tell you exactly that. They’re not exactly hard to find.

they are playing the technical compability game. everything thats has been added to buff EFT was for either tranch 5 weaponry or a more modern tranch simulation.

not against anyone here, just a simple fact

Stop the cope.
