Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 3)

Yep.

Still think its kinda stupid the F-15C GE is still 14.3 and not at 14.7 where it actually belongs tbh.

Oh well. Looking forward to full strength Typhoons one of these days

So the software allows it

The pylons exist and work

The racks are multifunction and work

What are we arguing here

It can do it which is why it has it

Meh, we have enough 14.7s at the moment and I’d imagine the 15EX (if it’s coming this update) is going to be the US’ 14.7. If they bother doing any decompression, would imagine they’re going to do it when fat amy rolls around. Pun intended.

Not hard proof that the multi function rail on the Eurofighter can use AMRAAM and ASRAAM when it is stated it does and is the only rail used on the wings for A2A missiles

us already has 14,7 but its just under br’ed for the sake of win rates

F15C GE is not 14.7 level it is missing a fair few things to make it that level

and those are?

name few.

because it is better than any 14.3 except maybe the su30sm

MAWS
High speed flight performance
Acceleration
Spherical RWR

Most of which the F15EX would fix

Suffers from compression imo. Most 14.7s should be 15.0s (minus the J-15T etc) and some of the 14.3s should be 14.7s (15C GE etc). F-35 should be 15.3 when it comes.

MAWS and Spherical Coverage aren’t really enough to justify keeping it at the same BR as the F-16C PoBIT for example.

especially since not every aircraft at 14.7 has those either

PoBIT shouldn’t even be 14.3, it’s by far the worst one.

Substitute it out for basically any other 14.3 then lmao I just wanted to shit on the pobit some more

blk20 exist.

Both garbage for air to air

I seen the whole debate about the SPICE bombs on the EFT vs F-15E.

However the situation on the Typhoon AESA regarding the SPICE bombs seems a bit ludicrous including asking for more SPICE bombs when there’s an unclassified NATO presentation showing all the intended features and upgrades regarding the German Eurofighter EK all the way out to 2035.

It shows many different things intended to be integrated, but one thing that’s not planned was any addition or integration of SPICE bombs. Further it seems the German government did not order any SPICE bombs either further cementing the presentation.

didnt get SPICE bombs, just pointing out that its limited to 20 GBU-53 and here they are asking for 24 SPICE 250

Ah thanks, edited then. So even the F-15E didn’t get spice bombs despite F-15I getting them integrated.
