Sure they can buy it, but after all the grief and delays Germany caused on the Eurofighter programme I’d personally be wary about having them involved in development.
France doesn’t seem to know what “cooperation” means for armament projects. AFAIK for the Eurofighter (a four nation cooperation) france demanded 50% of the workshare and system-leadership for Dassault (including 100% for the engine AFAIK). For the FCAS (a three nation cooperation) they even demanded 80% of the workshare. In both cases they declared these demands non-negotiable which isn’t a good foundation for a cooperation, to say the least…
Don’t bring lies to the table pretty please…
Those famous 80% were denied by everyone including DGA in front of senators, the only thing that was asked was 51% of the decision and not the workshare.
That is what happen when the project manager has all the responsabilities and potential penalties in case of delay when the other two have more decision power than him and they didn’t wanted to listen.
Nah thats not true. France absolutely does know what cooperation means.
Dassault on the other hand doesnt have a single clue.
Wouldn’t compromise need to mean that both sides acknowledge the leveraging power of the other? At the end of the day Dassault seems to have won as France is continuing to fund their next-gen fighter while Germany is looking for basically someone to let them in on their group project.
Make an FCAS/french and or german future plan thread honestly, people love to talk about it but each time it’s not in the right thread.
Not necessarily. Especially if youre surprised that a government has so little leverage over a national defense contractor thats completely dependent on said government.
They have. Its like i said above, they win no matter if FCAS goes through with a higher Dassault workshare or it if fails. The losers are taxpayers and potentially Airbus. The only way Dassault can still lose is if France fails to properly finance the project and Dassault ends up with a non competitive product.
anyone else having massive issues getting weapons to work correctly in NE or is it just me?
Paveway IV with Aiming points
I target 4 targets
I release 4 Paveway IVs using salvo
2-3 head towards the target
1-2 fly off in a random direction no where near the target
Spice-250s 30km releases
I target a spot, and release a Spice-250, because of the intercept rate, usually 2 per target, and half of them just fly off into yonder and never reach the target
Its annoying that half my wepaons dont do what they do and other half are always intercepted

Every single one of those weapons were targeted at targets on that ammo base. The bottom one is a Paveway IV fired using an aiming point. The cluster is Spice-250s, the Spice-250s were targetted directly at targets using the Tpod.
Anyone got any ideas?
Observer like canada would be best methinks.
Force them to use the IRST this time too.
Had the same problem with Spice-250s. Pain in the ass, but only get like 1 in 30 bombs going off course like that.
Not had the same problem with LJDAMs but haven’t used them enough. Playing Sweden & US at the moment because I got tired of trying to use the EF2K in NE.
Im thinking I need to buy and spade the F-18F purely to actually have a usable CAS aircraft for NE at top tier.
Definetly time for a total overhaul of the Typhoons A2G capability I think. Even just a GNSS-Only weapon like Spear-3, Heck, even GNSS-Only version of the Spice-250, because I think half the issue is the IR seeker
Did you lob the Paveway to the target? Gaijin have created a bug which causes some GPS weapons (If not all) to not guide to the POI if the release point is low to the ground. I think it’s got something to do with seeker POV.
Dropped from 20-25k ft in fairly level drops, Maybe a slight loft of about 5-10 degrees, but usually pretty level.
Was also having issue with low level lofts in the GR4 a few days ago too though, but figured it was the PW4 trying to correct onto the target instead of just following the parabolic arc and getting confused as gaijin doesnt have anything to actually handle lofting.
Already posted in the Gripen E thread but I made a tutorial for how to effectively use the SPICE 250s for SEAD.
Abso-fucking-lutely.
The F/A-18F is an absolute dream in NE. Honestly my favourite aircraft in the game for that reason alone, and would consider it the best especially as it has A-120D too. Biggest downside for me (as a cringe ass larper) is no IRST. Main reason I grinded for the Gripen E rather than just using the 18F instead.
They REALLY need to give the SAM sites either CIWS at 13.7+, or make them rotate around like 5 different positions every few minutes to evade dumb strats like this. NE basicly doesnt exist above 13.7 because of this garbage
Pantsirs have a gun IIRC and they still can’t detect them. Not to mention they’re too busy mag dumping on players and ARMS that by the time they get there they can’t even fight back. Also, they might glide in thru their radar dead zone?
Also I’m curious what do you consider a smart strategy?
The strat itself isnt dumb in terms of effectiveness, its dumb in terms of gameplay loop and enjoyement. If there is no long range AA, you might as well just go play air RB, and SDB spam strats, stealth bombs, and cross map ARM’s all kill all the long range AA within the first 10-15min tops without any danger to the launch aircraft.
Theres a reason gaijin added radar shutoff to counter Kh-31PD’s, and now its just BLUFOR abusing OP ground “SEAD” munitions
This can literally just be fixed by adjusting the priority and parameters of the AI targeting, but I mean real CIWS. give each SAMP/T battery something like 6x C-RAM or Skyshields or something, and i guess for the russians, they could give them like 3 SM-SV’s but without their lightspeed magic missile
Well how else are these bombs effective if every single one is meant to be intercepted? Idk if you pay attention to the match feed usually but for every radar eliminated, countless more ARMs and jets are already intercepted. These are standoff weapons and I’m using them generally how they would be used in real life. If you notice in the video the strat is time consuming and still takes coordination with others to pull off in a timely manner. Plus we were still losing at that point.
