“In real life”, you wouldnt be using them against system firing surface to air missiles from the 1980’s if it was a peer conflict as is depicted in-game, you’d be trying to drop those with at minimum 9M96E2’s being fired back, with 50% more kinematic range than the current 5V55R’s and an ARH seeker, and you’d likely just die before you ever got into range.
As I already said, there is such a thing as a bad gameplay loop, and having weapons that allow you to be immune to the primary means of airspace control in the mode is just bad for gameplay. It might be fun right now larping as a western air force dunking on SAM sites from a third world country that got some leftovers from the soviets back in the early 90’s, but give it a month and suddenly, top tier Nuclear Escalation just being air RB with respawns after 10min is gonna get REAL old.
At every other BR, the long range SAM’s are a credible threat, but at 13.7+ they’re just an RP pinata for ppl like you to fulfil your power fantasies, and thats only fun for you, the person larping with the glide bomb SEAD, and only for so long.
They do work all the time. But having to mark every vehicle on the map vs just the site itself is a big difference. Not to mention 8 potential kills vs 16.
It’s in Finland. Just because it’s part of the Sweden TT doesn’t mean they’re the same nation. 39E is lacking for the same reasons as the Typhoon (though not as bad due to increased spice bomb count) - its most modern AGM is gimped beyond belief in capability.
nvm that was growlers with AARGMs rather than the -ER I forget ARM nomenclature is daft
Kinda does if you have to go looking for Sweden to find it. No real separate matchmake for those vehicles, ergo same nation
Not really. Sweden just doesn’t have any ARMs for their JAS39E. Typhoon does have 2 options and in meaningful numbers (as in, it can carry more than 2x ARMs) but is artificially being held back.
