We’ll have to see. The big question is how different the upgraded engines are to the existing ones in terms of parts. A big reason why they might not have done it so far is that the cost/effort to have 2 different engines and all the required logistics for said engines simply outweighted the benefits of having a more powerful engine for a relatively small part of the fleet. Especially when youve also got the relatively easy and low cost alternative of AMK on the table too
The cost to upgrade is probably quite high at the moment. I think I read a thing where they will be scaling down production of EJ200s soon, that might be so that they’ll start building the more powerful engines as standard, and so nations will slowly replace the EJ200s as they come to the end of their life which will be in the early 2030s
MAW is again (or still) extremely unreliable. Shows missiles far out, then the missiles disappear and you think they diverted, then suddenly you see the missile with your eyes on your screen homing in onto you and a fracture of a second before impact the MAW alerts you again.
Oh and the Third-Person-Lockon for SPICE/GBU-53 ist still completely broken… You would think a bug which causes a whole class of weapons to be unusable in third person view would be fixed fast or be at least somewhat high in the priority chain.
Looks more like your ZA Gripen C loadout remained and your EFT loadout spawned in on top. The Gripen C got those ASM’s and the forward missile there is a R-Darter followed by 9M which is how it is on the Gripen loadout.
now that you mention the R-Darter I did check the Gripen to see if it had got the RB 15F so that makes sense. is this a new bug? I have never seen it before.
Yeah you’ll unfortunately have to prove the the capability to use an actual production RB-15 was put into the EFTs, we only have what appears to be a mockup for the Germans unfortunately
I know the Italian EFT’s have been seen with Marte ER, and iirc a German one with RBS15. Not sure about the British ones, but obviously ingame, none of the EFT’s got any yet afaik.
The German one is likely a mockup, due to the age of the DA5 and the fact it’s using Gungnir in 2011 and maybe earlier in some photos, realistically Gungnir/RBS-15F-ER didn’t exist outside of mockup and paper plans. Gungnir didn’t even have a official title aside from RBS-15F-ER until 2016 when it was unveiled alongside the NG. It wouldn’t even get a test firing until 2018. There’s basically no chance unfortunately for the EFT to have an argument for it, the missile was planned is about the best you can argue and hopefully gaijin would take it. It’s be pretty cool to see imo.
Mmm… my bad, alright. Looks like I need to do some more research, so the green arrows mean the DASS is jamming that contact, while the red ones mean the contact is jamming you, right? And what does the thickness of the arrows mean? I assume it might indicate the strength or effectiveness of the jamming
