I dont really see why not. Because anytime you need max engine power, you probably arent running the max weight warloads, and without AMK, the EFT handles fine with heavier warloads (like a load of PW4s) without much issue, and with the intro of weapons like Spear-3, which are just going to lighten the EFTs warload, then an engine upgrade probably isnt super needed straight away.

I think a big part of the German T5 EFTs role is gunna be SEAD and probably running things like Cruise missiles, which are inherrently very heavy, where better engines might be needed

But yeah, All shall fear EFT with AMK AND more powerful engines

what we need is ultimate phoon with TVC, uprated engines, AMK, EVODASS and ECRS+ whatever else LTE brings

all the feature were tested and offered (par the uprated engines afaik), just didnt or havent gone anywhere yet… and technical compatibility is all that is needed :)

Not really though, because with the exception of the TVC engines which arent planned, every singel upgrade is coming at some point to the EFT.

EJ230 was built and tested uninstalled, but never fitted to an airframe, and no one has since considered fitting it.

Though there was a proposal to fit it to the Gripen E for Portugal so that they didnt have to buy american engines, but I dont think it went anywhere unfortunately

So it would be the only thing on that list, which would outside normal rules to be added to the game.

This is me malding over the fact they are being so incredibly slow with engine stuff, and the only changes that i know of being the replacement of the DECMU/FADEC twice over its lifetime

Wait a sec, arent current engines can actually deliver much higher thrust with software upgrade?

Iırc they are running on peace time configuration which delivers less thrust in exchange for more service life.

This should have been already implemented with the coming of the T4 since the T5 will be automatically up to the P4E standards which will only be seen in 2031 TwT
