Little confused how its impossible to introduce rn? Maybe they just dont want to add something that only 2 jets in game have been confirmed to have.
Its probably like IR signature code. It was original coded for very basic and simple IRST system and it simply cannot handle more advanced setups like TWS without a rewrite.

Its basically a thing that creates a target that tricks missiles into going for it instead.

The day we get an ir sig update… Who am i kidding thatll never happen until f22 and su 57 maybe. Actually fixing jet sigs like on the harrier and f5 while allowing missiles with limited all aspect capability to shine a little.

I mean the problem is the only difference in the code is the “band” it uses lol. It’s functionally identical to radar. Switch ranging off, set band to something in the IR spectrum, set the RCS requirement to something absurd (I think it’s usually 108000?) and you have an IRST. I seriously doubt anything is stopping them from adding radar features.
Can IRST systems in game be notched?
At one point they could lol. I haven’t tested recently though. The stormer was very prone to notching for quite a long time.
I lost complete IR lock with the Typhoon after the jet went into a kind of turn that put it in the notch.
Yeah Stormer IR locking is tragic right now. It’s like DIRCM affects it
It’s also possible they disabled the reheat and the horrifically nerfed PIRATE we have immediately lost lock despite only working well within 30km

We need proper cockpit voice warning lines. Right now we have the US Bitchin Betty but we need our Naggin Nora.

Theres videos! Alot of videos. Channel 4: RAF Top Guns is the main source of videos. Theres also Airbus Eurofighter Typhoon Simulator footage which has it. Bug reports have been made but i am working on official documentation! So bare with me.
