Damn, so its realy wanted?
Can we now move the German EF down to 13.7 because it cant stealth fire them? ))))

Nah. 14.3 because it has the reduced drag :P

(in game they share the same FM, the missing Pirate isnt modeled) )))
The German EF has Drag where there is nothing xD

The Su-30SM can. Works exactly the same as with the Eurofighter

ADAD on the Stormer and Ozelot I believe would be the only other examples I think, if they can even do that in-game?

Skyward-G would feature the same as its just a smaller PIRATE and then Legion also (Legion also using under license technology from PIRATE), but we don’t have Gripen E yet.

It’s quite a limited pool of systems using kinematic ranging, given the US has gone for this option eventually I’m imagining that’s because its tricky to get an accurate enough range on these systems to prove tactically useful?

Carrying so few flares is insane to me lol

Doesn’t the gripen E get a laser range finder integration ?

dosent look like it

or the laser emitter is hidden

No, Skyward-G is literally a smaller budget version of PIRATE.

Like the EFT, it’s probably possible to use a laser-based TGP for ranging if you wanted to, but PIRATE and Skyward-G are fully intended to work solo, on their own and without an LRF.

You really don’t need more, you can flare missiles with 1 or 2 flares so long as you follow the correct processes and know what missile it is. Though on the EFT you can just as easily take mixed and not have to worry as you aren’t going to run out.

In the future when we get Britecloud, I can see perhaps dropping down to 32 flares, and 16 Britecloud and then only taking chaff on the BOL pods.

There is a radical difference in the performance and functionality of the internal CMs and the BOL.

Internal CMs are large flares with a long burn time.

The BOL are (incorrectly) modeled to be extremely small CMs and the flares also dont burn as long.

By running a mix of BOL CMs, you dont know what you are dropping and whether you need to spam flares like mad / drop them at an increased rate to pre-flare or whether you can get away with just occasionally dropping a few. (which also negates the advantage of the internal CMs as well, as you have to assume you are always dropping BOL)

By running pure flares internally and pure chaff in the BOL, you always know which you are dropping and how best to employ them. Also. I rarely find IR missiles an issue. 99% of my deaths are from ARH

I mean it alternates between internal left-right, BOL left-right and repeats so it’s incredibly predictable. I just watch my CM pattern and I find the BOLs are way more useful against 9M as they dont get propelled far away from the aircraft.

In the heat of battle. Id rather not have to worry about that. Also if Im in SB, I cant see where it is in the pattern

Typhoon Radar anyone having issues with it again, was playing ground RB and it couldnt find the Rafale in any of the scan modes that was according to the RWR directly Infront of me?

it was probably slightly above you

It could have been a net code issue just wanted to share with the group.

You could share the footage from your replay so we can accurately check what happened.

Whilst its a lot better. I have found the radar can just be a little… slow to actually detect things in a headon still. Though I also had this with the Foxhunter the other day. So it might just be a server issue than a radar issue

it is an issue with TWS+

test drive the Mig-29 Sniper (it dosent have TWS+) and use the TWS

it is somewhat good at detecting targets (because they get shown on the screen when they are detected)
but keeping track of them isnt its strenght
