Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Even then sensitivity is all over the place.

RWR picks up even single missile that is coming in your general way while most of the incoming missiles wasn’t even targeting you in the first place.

Not to mention a missile that bypasses you somehow appears on your RWR and keep alerting you for no reason, overall RWR needs serious rework.

It is but the full mod is more than worth it. I think it’s just under £5 for the membership but you don’t need to keep it, you can just pay once, download the files and cancel the membership if you want. It’s what I do since they update the mod after each major update release.

I use a 30% RWR sensitivity lmao

Yesss I was wondering if someone could port the sounds from the superior MS flight Typhoon.

Happy days!

R-77-1 invisible to MAW back on the menu again? And no, it didn’t came from outside the MAW FoV but fully frontal at the same height.

I’ve had a couple questionable ones, heres one example;

No warning until impact too?

Btw. the AIM-9M seems to be somehow reliable in side-aspect now (if you don’t get a drift-lock). In rear- and front-aspect it goes for flares 100% for whatever reason.

top down is good as well.

I was putting that under “side”-aspect (everything but front and rear) xD

Other than the RWR warning I got nothing, shit me up as well. I was going mach 1.5+ which normally results in the angle gating being easier to beat.

So same. No warning for any MSL contact until I saw it materialize on the screen 0,1 second before impact.

Anyone else also had cases where R-77(-1) and R-27ER (incl. RVV-AE) just straight up ignored multipathing? These where the only missiles which hit me while flying below 40 meters the last few days and these were direct hits, not splash damage.

I rarely use MP, but I do feel like top down AMRAAMs seem to be missing way more recently and R-77-1s dont seem to be equally affected. No idea if its just my imagination or not

Not even top-down cases. More like “elevated”. Not flat, not top-down, but something inbetween.

There is apparently a difference someone told me about, but MP seems to be a bit wierd at the moment, not sure whats up.

I don’t think AMRAAM has the same MP height as other missiles in game.

It does on paper, but it seems extremely inconsistant at times, though it doesnt even feel like MP.

The missiles are going off to one side, likes its just… missing.

@HighRiskNoReward has a thread for this regarding the Derby/R-Darter but I think it might be AMRAAM too, everytime I see it happen I totally forget to go back and grab a replay clip of it

Same I only really noticed it when playing in sim against a Chinese PL amraam slinger.

Top down AMRAAMs missed all of them and I only have 4.

When I was flying at 25-60 feet rad alt the top down Chinese amraam was consistently killing me top down.

For me it actually proved more effective to just notch them.

You don’t really have a choice if you want to spade a top-tier aircraft where you have to research chaff in ARH meta lol

I don’t trust MP at all, and I’m usually 20k ft too high to make use of it anyway, but my default is to just always notch, it’s not worth risking otherwise. But lately, definetly feels… Different

Even then… I tried… Didn’t seem to work for me. Even terrain masking on Afghanistan in ASB barely worked because of all the AESAs that was a nightmare of a slog, a combo of ultra defensive flying at longer ranges and ratting got it, but it was hard work.

Way harder than it was the first time round
