Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Let me guess how it will be implemented. (Not clipped wing). 20-30g turn rate. No throttable ramjet mode, just a super long motor burn. Same seeker as aim120b. Call it a day.

Indeed, and that render is of a B, but we will see when it shows up that way, as I mentioned further up. We are yet to see a flight test of 4 Meteor.

We have only ever seen mockups and renders of that configuration, and flight tests of 2Meteor+2AMRAAM.

They’d do better to copy the MICA seeker, Meteor uses a MICA seeker derivative.

See now this I could work with but that this point we aint stealth anymore and it still doesn’t have a radar like ECRS.

Gaijin: “please provide 10 OEM manuals proving that meteor uses the same seeker as mica.”

We do actually have quite a lot of sourcing for this.

It’s also why I personally believe that France Veto’d JNAAM.

Might as well stick to EFT on that point. Ignoring all the sensors comparisons.

F-35 is nowhere near the Kinematic performance of Eurofighter, IRL and in-game. You just wouldn’t choose to sacrifice that.

how does LOAL work without datalink ? is like like firing fox3s and waiting for its own seeker head to pick up the target ? but with IIR ?

Yes, the HMD/Radar/IRST provide target data to the missile which is loaded prelaunch. The missile then goes on a pre-planned course based on that target data and searches the expected area with its seeker.

Have a non murdered JPEG of that slide;

Is F-35A going to be configured for internal carriage of Aim-260?

The respective goal for F-35A (and C) is 6 internal AIM-260 with sidekick.

Australia will actually be the first export customer for this.

In this configuration, the F-35 is a sitting duck.

Nah you see how Gaijin models thrust vectoring…F-35B will be able to just drift past missiles…
Or hover and be immune to ARHM

great… 6 abysmal missiles. Ig every nation that’s not russia, china or usa will be cucked with the f-35 and the abysmal aim-120/aim-260 for “stealth missiles”. At least america’s 5th gen, the f-22 can use internal sidewinders.

this will be the play, not like meteor loses significant range from a static launch lol

I wonder if they will add Peregrine to the F-22 (Late) significantly boosting it’s A2A payload.

ASRAAMS should work lol

AIM-260 should be good, it’s dual pulse so I really can’t see any world where its worse than PL-15, R-77(-1) or R-37M.

F-22 will also get AIM-260 so will probably be the top dog once we gain confirmation of some basic stats.

J-20 will be really good too as will Su-57

J-35 is on track to be a blatantly superior F-35A too.

So really yeah its F-35 users that have stuff to be worried about.

meant in terms of close range maneuverability. I have no doubt its range is good
