Is F-35A going to be configured for internal carriage of Aim-260?

The respective goal for F-35A (and C) is 6 internal AIM-260 with sidekick.

Australia will actually be the first export customer for this.

In this configuration, the F-35 is a sitting duck.

Nah you see how Gaijin models thrust vectoring…F-35B will be able to just drift past missiles…
Or hover and be immune to ARHM

great… 6 abysmal missiles. Ig every nation that’s not russia, china or usa will be cucked with the f-35 and the abysmal aim-120/aim-260 for “stealth missiles”. At least america’s 5th gen, the f-22 can use internal sidewinders.

this will be the play, not like meteor loses significant range from a static launch lol

I wonder if they will add Peregrine to the F-22 (Late) significantly boosting it’s A2A payload.

ASRAAMS should work lol

AIM-260 should be good, it’s dual pulse so I really can’t see any world where its worse than PL-15, R-77(-1) or R-37M.

F-22 will also get AIM-260 so will probably be the top dog once we gain confirmation of some basic stats.

J-20 will be really good too as will Su-57

J-35 is on track to be a blatantly superior F-35A too.

So really yeah its F-35 users that have stuff to be worried about.

meant in terms of close range maneuverability. I have no doubt its range is good

Granted this assumes that the peregrine is built and tested (which i haven’t heard anything about it on that front)

Tranche 5 Typhoon and F.5 Rafale doing some heavy lifting

r-77m is probably what you’re thinking of, not the r-77-1 which is what we have in game already lol

Its a rear finned missile, likely taking inspiration from ASRAAM which has exceptional manoeuvrability, surpassing pretty much any missile in-game, and we’ve got some pretty damn manoeuvrable missiles in-game.

I don’t credit R-77M here, no, because its a ramjet, which will impact acceleration performance if it’s anything like Meteor, in which case I expect Meteor to be superior.

That’s what we love about the US you hear whispers and then boom it’s used in combat.

Never getting any data on the aim260 till the 2040s 🥀

Until J-20s start exploding over Taiwan…Lets hope it doesn’t come to that
