Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

since our radar can already function in normal and HDN mode at the same time, how come TWS doesn’t also use standard pulse (since the radar does have it as an option)?

I mean in fairness they are right with their response to that. The document used doesn’t mention AoA at all. It just says it can hit targets 40° off boresight, which Brimstone can do quite easily in game.

Funny how poor the 7M is Skyflash Super Temp is serviceable the rest are just sad.

Can Brimstone hit targets behind it like HAMMER can?

Hammer is more to the sides than behind, and that’s only on a 40,000ft launch;

Spoiler

Brimstone can HOBS and Brimstone 2+ can do it even better but not over the shoulder.

Ooh I’m confused why we don’t have Brimstone 2 yet :(

should this really be posted publicly?

Perhaps, but I think the video evidence is pretty damming

SAL weapons are too OP, must be nerfed.

I heard enough, nerf challengers more.

There are some documents showing the AASM employement zone can actually be behind the aircraft. Its altitude dependent tho, this could be for a lower altitude scenario

It’s freely available online and has been used several times for different reports, so I guess it’s okay :/

I’ve looked at that report, the sourcing is an artist depiction from the brochure and some general statements from Rafale International. Which are inline with the presentation example to a point, if you launched at the max off boresight shot, within seconds of release that target would be behind you for intents and purposes.

there are many manuals freely available online that are still very restricted, that still won’t make them okay. this one is from 2008 as well and to my knowledge there’s no proof of declassification, which from last i’ve checked is against gaijin’s terms for bug reporting and use here as well.

I swear gaijin devs/bug reporters do it on purpose.

That’s right kids the J-11 now outrates the Typhoon

Ah yes, the plane with less TWR and higher wing load, which at the same time is a giant monster (six meters longer, four meters wider) and weights empty nearly a ton more than the EF at normal take-off weight is able to outrate it? I would really like to see the physical base/reasoning for this assumption…

Su-27 was already over performing in rate before the buff today, a report is in the works.

you know what the orange dotted line means?

it means that the pilot will black out at anything on the right side of it
saying that the J-11 is outrating the EF is a bit disingenious

Chinese engineering i guess
