Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

MAWS works normally on my end.

There’s an open report for the EFTs for more SPICE-250 as well. Hasn’t been reviewed yet

Operational loadout doctrinally plausible for Germany, UK and probably Italy but not sure.

8-16× SPICE-250 2–4 pylons with quad racks (20 maybe with a side mounted targeting pod and no center pylon fueltank)
2-4× IRIS-T / Meteor self-defense is mandatory
1× targeting pod (e.g. Litening / future German solution)
1-2× drop tanks
This matches how the Typhoon flies Brimstone, Paveway, or SDB-class weapons in real service

16× SPICE-250 how they’re mounted
Each quad rack = 4 bombs
Left inner wing pylon | 1× quad rack
Left mid wing pylon | 1× quad rack
Right mid wing pylon | 1× quad rack
Right inner wing pylon | 1× quad rack

These pylons are structurally strong, have good separation clearance, and keep the aircraft balanced. Basically every pylon that supports Brimstones should support a quad rack of SPICE-250 or is there anything I’m missing?

There’s no way those are real loadout charts. It has aspide and sky flash which are impossible to guide

And if given its claiming they go on the ejector launchers. There is no hole for the giant Sparrow fin.

You dont get it. Using Skyflash as a dumb rocket is a 10/10 idea, i need it now.

If they were, we’d have inner pylon AMRAAMs which is a shame

Edit: I got it you talking about the skyflash fair enough

So now that the Gripen E gets 16 FnF munitions that have nearly 3x the explosive mass of Brimestone.

mmW brimestone in January?

gaijin will still say mmw is too broken even though theres a really simple fix (make mmw ordinance susceptible to chaff, and then add chaff to all smoke grenades just like they did with all smoke grenades blocking thermals)

We can hope, but it certainly means that 12-18x Brimstones wont be an issue anymore

Gunjob, is there any way to report the firing order of the AMRAAMs when using all 8?
Because the firing makes not much sense
Wing left → wing right → Belly → belly → belly → belly → wing left → wing right

Like, shouldn’t the ones on the wings getting fired first?

Hows “new” Typhoon doing? Seems Su-30SM2 super biased is the second coming of Soviet Jesus.

It’s hard to find any considering both teams are usually 100% su30sm comp

Watched some vids and it seems very strong.
I don’t think Typhoon can ever challenge it.

We need to get the Rafale and MICA range buffed 😅
We can just glide bomb bases while the two cancers fight

unpowered

Until the moment they introduce the turbojet-powered “SPICE 250 ER” with 300 km range which has the same size.
And aren’t the Brimstones currently really underperforming because of their wrong flight profile (“direct” instead of “loft”)?

Given the SPICE will be thrown at around mach 1 they will maintain most of that speed to target when thrown at game combat ranges, its not that much slower than the 450m/s of Brimestones when thrown from typical grb ranges.

And considerably less than the mach 2 limt kh38mts yeeted into the stratosphere by the Russian CAS planes.

The position most of the people that frequent the brimestone conversation had was limit them to 6 for balans sake, but thats been thrown straight out the window with the gripen getting so many smart FnF munitions.

Doesn’t seem that way, from all i’ve heard it’s radar is cooked currently and doesn’t want to cooperate with the missiles

spice 250 have more range than brimstone by a pretty big margin
