Biggest issue with that is Russia do not have an IIR missile.
They dont have IIR, but they have an equivalent. Its not like IIR is actually going to be modeled

We will eventually see the new IR missiles, but if they don’t properly model IIR it’s not because russia doesn’t have that tech, it’s because the dev team is laughably lazy, just like with all other missile reports so far.
What im worrying about is that IIR will be modeled one way and the soviet Dual-whatever is (I cant recall) will be modeled another and be distinctly better for some reason.
I surely hope not, it would be straight up stupid ofc, but seeing how the IRIS-T and 9X are modelled now, they might pull stinky moves.
I hope they properly model them, but that’s asking too much for the devs.

I mean they could also just say the game engine cant handle it like they did with articulated vehicles lol, adding something they were to lazy to actually add correctly then ignoring it forever

They might just rely on the fact that when 5th gens are added, theirs will be the one jet that gets LDIRCM transplanted from helis

Russia does have iir though, k-30/izd 300. Although… i forgot if it was actually mounted and test fired or was just a mockup/plans. It definitely existed though at least as a shell
Always thought the R-74m2 was the end of the line missile for the russians, but if this thing can be added so be it, I had no idea it existed tbh.
If they dont have the advantages of the systems then adding them in a downgraded state. Defeats the purpose and leans into well Russia don’t have a missile as good as the ASRAAM, 9X, IRIS-T etc.
So to make the R-74/73M perform as well by removing the key attributes of the other systems.
I honestly see ASRAAM will be modelled like a faster R-27ET
Ah yes adding more Russian systems that haven’t been tested (we have no data on) and will invariably end up being the equal or the superior to actual in service systems.

can someone explain why FNF brimstone would be bad for the game? like would it not be like LMUR and JAGM we have already? and with those type of missiles it does not matter if the cant be defeated as most of the time you will have no idea one is on its way to kill you anyways.
