I have a graphic posted somewhere that explains the mechanism and temperature ranges that cause missile trail. I cant find it atm, but the sparksnotes are the types of missile exhaust that the motor lets out and the environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) will impact the formation and duration of the trail.

Its okay I’ll just VPN.

Yes it is “Top Guns: Inside the RAF” great series.

So the Snail has the “Wing Tank Emtpy” Voice line allready on its List? ))))

Yeah I’d already combed through that series for all the VWS stuff.

Still sad that the Drop tanks cant be carried when emtpy, even with the Automatic Jettison turned off, they still drop once they are emtpy :(

Like, for what is the Option if this doesnt apply to everything on an Plane???

What we do need is a METAR report in the briefing screen on the map. Napkin maths a MINTRA and MAXTRA out to be stealthy lol

I’d love to hold onto the tanks until I really need to drop them. Not a fan of being forced to sit around with empty pylons or randomly drop the tanks while in formation.

The Low Height warning would be cool if that would interact with the Settings for Low height where it does turn red to warn you

Same, +the option is there, why does it not apply to the fuel tanks???

@Gunjob do you know if we could report that? Or game Limit?

The only napkin math gaijin accepts is their own napkin math (its how they “justified” nerfing all NATO MANPADS lol)

I mean napkin mathmatics is how the Sd.Kfz.234/2 puma got its turret speed buffed and the Fox turret nerfed so anything goes nowadays

Never said it was incorrect, if you go back and actually read you’d see that I said they should have added an older version without AESA, as with typhoon, rather than trapping themselves in this corner where they now have to add ESA to all countries

dude, all rafales had some form of esa. it wouldnt change much

and?

he said:

he didnt say “an older version without ESA”

detection range

It wouldn’t change anything.

The differences would not even matter on current map design.

Less range
Fewer tracked targets
Fewer datalink channels
Narrower gimbal limits (60° instead of 70° IIRC)

PESA is much different, it is literally mechanical with an instant steer rate essentially, aswell as a slight range increase due to wave interference,

But they could have got away with PESA, AESA they can’t as it makes such a difference
