Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

I have no experience in GRB, neither with Amraam slingers nor with R-77-1/Mica slingers, but given the size of the maps I can see what the issue is.

Ground Rb is know of how air rb should be, remove the stupid markers and missile diamonds and make players have to use their heads.

Unfortunately any jet with 120s is just at such a disadvantage

I’d be happy with that just to get rid of the stupidly bugged spotting system lmao, that sometimes doesn’t even trigger sub 3km’s…

I think now jets have MAWS and systems you could bring back the missile diamond for when a missile is detected by the system. But yes buddy spotting doesn’t work and with the Radars and RWRS we have at top tier we really do not need name boxes in a supposed realistic game mode.

That’s assuming they give the F/A-18E access to JAGM-MRs in the first place. Which isn’t a guarantee.

Considering the Super Hornet would be in a similar boat as the Eurofighter, being able to carry up to 18x JAGMs, I would expect Gaijin to just add regular JAGMs with only SAL seekers.

IR mode is fine though it’s mmW that’s the problem in Gaijins eyes. For what the USMC would use JAGM for why wouldn’t you want the most advanced version? When your defence budget is infinite dollars everyone get’s the best stuff

It’s not just MMW, it’s FnF as a whole that they’re cautious about. They’ve been reluctant to put a large number of FnF missiles/AGMs on fixed wing aircraft for ages. Just look at the F-15I not getting SPICE-250s.

While it would be cool to see the 18E get JAGM-MRs, I’m definitely not expecting them. Just based off of how Gaijin has treated the Eurofighters, and how we don’t have solid proof of JAGM-MRs going on the 18E, I’m epxecting regular SAL JAGMs.

You’re gonna make the air arcade++ players cry

These are my loadouts. I use about 90% of them depending on the flight profile I’m going for in SB, RB Air, or RB Ground.

Ive got a fair old mix, including loadouts with 6+4, 4+5 and 2+6 weapons combo but I usually just run 4+5 and vary between combat tanks, PW4s, both or none.

I deleted the loadouts wiht the GBU-62 I made, the mach 1 max speed, just made them too awkward to really use and I just dont play above 10.7 in GRB anymore, so really no point for Brimstone loadouts, all though I have yet to delete them

i hope they remove the extra r77s once they add the su-35.

The GBU-48 is, for me, the most useless one due to its speed restriction and weight, plus the fact that it’s not glided. At least the GBU-62 allows me to drop it from a greater distance since it’s glided

FGR4 doesnt get the GBU-48s unfortunately. I can see some value for 1000lb GPS weapon for ASB, but for some reason Gaijin wont add the ePaveway II (currently missing from the GR7, GR4 and FGR4)

think its in the files and has been for over a year now

The issue Ive always found with the GBU-62 is that I think the CCIP treats them like regular bombs, but I think I could drop them from far further If i wanted, but I have no real way to judge if they are in range or not. Though Tpod range limits probably mitigate that issue if dropping from any height

I mainly enjoy flying multirole missions in sim, even though the game mode itself doesn’t really encourage that kind of gameplay. I try to make the most out of the Eurofighter’s capabilities, even if they’re limited by the lack of HUD/HMSS/MFD data and missing weapon systems

Yeah, I try to do that as well, but between the speed of the aircraft at that BR and the tiny map sizes. It just feels all to fast. If I want that kind of gameplay, I usually just run the T10 instead. Just a shame as the HMD in the Typhoon is awesome.

One of the most fun I ever had in the Typhoon was a GSB match where the enemy team just never even tried to challenge me. No SPAA, no CAP. Only a single late game Su-34 which was easily defeated. That was rather fun, proviidng proper CAS to my team.

Here I wonder why one of my messages was linked.

Was that information about those r77 mentioning the Su27SM and SU30SM ?
From my (limited) knowledge those 2 pylons are only opened for later variants.

And now wait…
Lets see if they reply

i know why gaijin gave those pylons to the 27 and 30 but i dont know what sources they used (or if if they have any)

the 27 didnt do so well after fox-3s were added so gaijin looked for an easy way to buff it, that dosent involve fixing/changing the FM and/or the 3d model so they gave it the double pylons and better engines

and then they gave the 30 the double pylons to create an incentive to grind it bc in itself the 27 is better for BVR, thats why they also added the r77-1

the Su-27 is a kinda 27SM3 with its missile count and engines but it has an incorrect 3d model to be so otherwise the avionics and missile ammount is the same (the 27SM3 recived 2 extra wing pylons)

well enough off topic rambeling from my side for now
