Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Unfortunate there was sufficient information for the R-77 dual pylons for them to be considered. That same level hasn’t yet been reached with the inner AMRAAM pylons.

The Eurofighters are generally performing better currently than the Flankers too on top of that.

that being only installed on a completely different air frame, the su-35s? which also had the space between the engines widened to specifically accommodate the double rack?
It’s a double standard imo

Id just like to know when we are getting BOL.

as per the Thai Subtree devblog thing:

and this directly contradicts the current state of BOL and decision to change it 2 years ago. It is really really time for Gaijin to undo those fake changes and maybe even go as far as to implement BOL properly to the best the game can handle:

P.S

Can you forward this please

Typhoon has plenty of customers.
Rafale also has plenty of customers.

If you were smart you would know that arms procurement is 75% Politics 25% capability.
Any nation that buys a Rafale, Typhoon or Gripen is getting a top level combat aircraft.
Rafale has the added strength in the export market of being a naval aircraft.

IF the Bundeswehr, RAF or the Italien Airforce would confirm that the Inner pylon is real and can be used for the AMRAAM, would that be enough?
I am Planing on writing an Mail to the BW for some stuff about the Eurofighter, I am pretty sure I could add an short question about the Inner pylon :)))))

Do you have a primary source that this exists?

Sounds like a Marketing lie to me

Im hoping that Turkey will go crazy and do it

im of the opinion its 100% possible, but a 2+8 or 6+6 weapons fit has never been needed. especially in the CAS, QRA or air policing focused roles the Typhoon has generally taken so far

we saw something similar to the lead up of the Falklands. FRS1s were rapidly cleared for a load of weapons and the lead up to Op Granby where Tornados got 9Ms, BOL and other kit.

14 AMRAAMs Comes ro mind xD

A 10 AAM loadout with 8 amraams and 2 WVRAAM’s would be an amazing loadout, especially if they buff the seeker of the current C5, I hope someday an image/more proof of the inner pylon amraam pops out.

6+6 would be awesome with ASRAAM. With Aim-9M… probably not worth it.

But yeah, I think we need to pay attention to Turkey after their delivery of them.

I’d be running 6x6, the AMRAAMs just suck way too much in-game to trade 4 AIM-9M’s for 2 AIM-120’s. They’d have to stop artificially gimping the AMRAAM’s maneuverability and seeker to make me change my decision. A fix to the range/energy wouldnt do anything either imo, since gaijins made it so incredibly easy to completely invalidate any BVR shot anyways.

As Morvran said 6+6 would indeed be a well balanced loadout, enough for BVR and for WVR, no more 6+2 or 4+6…

As for the seeker of the C5, I still can’t get my head around the fact that they nerfed it in the dev server, they should have literally introduced it like it was.

Having the AIM-120C-5 HOBS capability and fixed agility would have been most helpful for when I was flying the EF2000.

Or 4+5 :P

My usual go to. 6x Aim-9M isnt worth it because 9Ms suck but AMRAAMs are too weak to be worth running 6x AMRAAM
