are you talking about the 2 pylons on the outermost part of the wing? im not too educated on russian stuff but IIRC its only for stuff like ECM pods
bahh my bad i saw SM3 and thought you were talking about the frogfoot
there is also a 27SM3
we dont but gaijin clearly 100% totally has it
I thought they only ever put Brimstones on the Hornet, and for F/A-18E it would be JAGM-F not JAGM
They don’t use the same launchers, and for your later posts JAGM-MR is still in testing and it’s only for the heli style quad racks, and not the fixed wing quad ejector racks the JAGM-F uses (BRU-61)
i can only find images of it being mounted on a triple rack like the brimstone

I think those are Brimstones
If you look at Lockheed JAGM-F PDF, you will see them on BRU-61 on an F-15E. Maybe F-18E can run them on the same double racks they have for GBU-53/39
Hate to burst your bubble, F3R shouldn’t have a HMD
Maybe we’ll go in another topic?
Spoiler

I believe it’s because they haven’t put BRU-61 on hornets yet, for some reason
Except 200% more range…
@Blanchboi you were right they did put JAGM on the Super Hornet, but it was Raytheon/Boeing competing design and not the Lockheed one (which won the contract)
It’s not just MMW, it’s FnF as a whole that they’re cautious about.
The reasonable answer is set a hard limit of FnF anti ground munitions on fixed wing aircraft, I can understand them being apprehensive about the EF2k deleting an entire lobby with 18 mmW Brimestone salvo, but right now the Su30 and Rafale can lob 6 FnF muntions off with considerably larger warheads and kill 6 targets quite easily in a single pass.
Helis have long since crossed that point with the Isr MH60 getting 16 Spikes, and Ah64 E getting 16 JAGMs.
And?, Brimstone 2 have about 60km of range iirc bc of the new and faster motor that it use over the Brimstone 1, in game we already have the Kh-38MT with 70km of range and it’s fnf, i don’t see the problem with adding a laser only brimstone 2, the 200% range in game will just be translated to shorter time to target, other wise it give nothing new.
My only reservation is a mitigation method that impacts ARB/ASB and not just GRB/GSB.
Would be frustrating as hell to be on the Tornado GR4 and limited to only 6x FnF for “balancing reasons” in ASB.
Especially as that kind of restriction would probably be having them onyl available on certain hardpoints which would make custom loadout configuration a chore as you’d have to work around that restriction rather than just making whatever you wanted.
My preference will always be something to do with SP costs as that is a gamemode specific mechanic
It’s Raytheon’s JAGM on that super hornet, and the 2 on the bottom picture are Lockheed ones. The Super Hornet picture is from a while ago when they were competing for the JAGM contract
Look at the little front fins on the base Lockheed JAGM, they arent there on the Super Hornet ones
