Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Yeah but the thing is Harrier is also slow, even slower than F-18 which gives you much smaller window to send your agm against SPAA’s and defend it.

Is it just me or does the EF feel really… heavy in a fight against a hornet? I mean for having something like a 50% higher TWR it is exceptionally hard to pull away in a climb.

We use to have an issue where we lost excessive amounts of thrust for an extended period of time after any maneuver. It might be that.

on today’s episode of “most advanced ESM suite in the game doesnt know what a semi active radar homing seeker is”

I’m manually using the chaff. The MAW is dropping the flares.
Still waiting on a response for that report…

On an unrelated note, how come target A is yellow?

I guess thats fair considering sweden doesn’t have any F-18’s as they built Gripens instead ;)

Nice to see the NCTR is still bugged on the MFD.

In all fairness this isn’t the NCTR, the MFD is just broken beyond belief.

the text position is also affected by language mods so for me it looks more or less fine

I think it’s less the language and more trying to fit БАГАТОТРД in that tiny space. I think MULTIJET would do the same thing on your end.

I missed that. I didnt think it had SAL option… So maybe FNF?

But yeah… Would not be surprised if Brimstone 1 gets denied FnF because “too OP” but JAGM gets MMW

from what i heared it has dual seeker just like brimstone

Thought some of you might find this as neat as I did, considering this is an objectively ingenious way to create a self fragmenting munition without any HE filler.

Here's the actual functional theory behind how the PELE rounds work:

For those wondering what the context is and its relevance to the EFT, PELE is what the JAS39A/C have been given for their Akan M/85 (license built BK-27) instead of the practice tracer rounds the EFT’s have in all but their stealth belts.

EFT belts:

The PELE round in-game is a copy paste of the SAPHEI round and does considerable damage, while the P(T) rounds that take up 1/4 of the EFT’s cannon ammo do almost 0 damage in-game. There is no good reason the EFT have not been given access to the PELE rounds to replace their P(T) rounds yet, but gaijin seems to show no intentions to fix this in-game, so the EFT is cursed to have 1/4 of its cannon ammo be borderline worthless in-game when the fix for this is already available on another jet using the same gun.

P(T) Damage:

PELE-T Damage:

The use of P(T) round on the EFT instead of the PELE seen on Gripens in-game actually makes the EFT have effectively less ammo for their cannon (unless you use stealth belts) despite technically having more ammo (150 vs 120) than the Gripen, since 1/4 rounds are P(T) rounds which deal effectively no damage, cutting down your number of “real” rounds from 150 down to 113.

JAGM-MR I think does.

JAGM I think is MMW only

JAGM-MR is tri mode, IR MMW and laser.

Base JAGM is dual mode

99% will only get SAL like brimstone

Clear bias

Yeha, that bloody Swedish bias again :P

Very evident, ive seen enough remove swedens tracer belts and only add practice rounds for their jets again.

@Gunjob i dont remember anymore, for that bug report u did rework a bit i think?
Did it go trough as Pele-T replacement or was that the saphei buff? u forwarded
