Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

After it was wrong (and reported) for over a year ^^

? Theres no way i just haven’t noticed that man… no, no i am that oblivious.

They should just add IRST launch for ARH missiles already.

Truth nuke

Nah, that would be historically accurate.

Depends if we are talking just firing in the approximate direction or actively guiding it, for the EFT and gripen (tho it would not matter much in the usual ranges where the IRST issue comes up, its well within visual range usually, so the missile would instantly go pitbull)

No idea about Gripen, But PIRATE should have a range of 50-80km in poor conditions and up to 150 in optimal conditions

Pirate being able to guide missiles past simply giving the direction of the target before launch is yet to be proven tho. You are strictly speaking of the sensor’s range.

You misspelled CRAPTOR-M

New upscaled Brimstone skins has been dropped if anyone interested.

It contains 3 different colour and honestly looks really nice.

Damn… A way to filter out missiles/rockets from TWS is sorely needed… Have to cycle through 30 missiles to find an enemy plane I can shoot.

Or rocket pods. To make the enemy cycle longer.

I sometimes even get “SMALL” targets (probably chaff) shown in the dozens in TWS which shouldn’t be shown at all.

It is yep, sometimes you see literal columns of them which is silly.

A curse of having a radar capable of counting each strand of ass hair 100 miles away in a game about cave tech.

Don’t think it has anything to do with that. More like it’s detecting stuff it shouldn’t detect as chaff has virtually no doppler return but TWS is using doppler return.

Aren’t those things like GBU-39?

It’s likely that modern TWS can detect falling chaff but can filter it.
The issue with this game is that there’s no filtering available

AFAIK, those would be usually displayed as “BOMB” by NCTR.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bomb NCTR
