Mig-23 2 electric boogaloo. Something to check is to see if the plane locking you was doing any manoeuvres at the time as this can happen with the mig 23s radar as the aggressive manoeuvres would knock the radar off your plane in the sensor view while still giving tracking info to the missile. Although this is with arh missiles so may be something new entirely.

If 13.3s could compete with 14.3s they would be 14.3s.
Because its on par if not marginally weaker to the Su30SM and F15C GE at 14.3 with it’s barely usable radar.
Heck the F15E/I is 14.0

So you are saying the M-Scan typhoons that barely have a working radar should be the same BR as the Rafale, Su-30SM2 or even the Typhoons with AESA? Just because it’s got a half decent FM?

Never said that but claiming regular EFT should be at same br where Super Hornet or other smiliar planes are was cute.
Neither of those planes are sitting at right br due to compression.
Btw FGR4 has miles better FM than any other 14.3 jet

Radar is not as bad as you claimed to be, tho it can definitely use improvement.

Idk about this, i had so bad experiences with the radar that i usually just turned it off and used HMD

On narrow scan it actually works pretty fine but still need improvements nevertheless.
Yeah narrow scan is fine but not if you want to guide mutliple ARH missiles over long distances to multiple spread out (or currently spreading out) enemies. It’s still an M-Scan after all, so small TWS sectors with very subpar reliablilty is crippling it’s intended functionality.

You sure about that, ive had as much luck locking and finding targets with it in my f4 ej lol. Those extra couple of seconds trying to figure out where the guy is shooting me from kinda makes it shit (in terms of the radar).

Radar is still infinitely better than say the Mirage 2000-5F which is at the same BR (tho with MICA).
I still find the argument of the « almost unusable » radar* quite silly to this day

Now thats a lie, i love the mirage 2k radar, only problem it has is limited vertical but the scan rate and its ability to pick up targets is fantastic.
