anyways ,given up with reports for the eft, they dont even look at them
Any chances it might also be due to server desync ?
I have had IR AASM hitting MI28MN quite easily, so I don’t think it has to do with the helicopter. It’s either Brimstone or gaijin netcode moment. Are you able to kill other helis with brimstone ?
i think its due to server issues. i have been killed by brimstones in the mi28. but i think there is an issue with some targeting pods not being able to lock helicopters ? im not sure if its only some helicopters or all helicopters.
Yes, targeting pods have issues locking basically anything. I have to use IRST to get a targeting pod lock on helis but if they flare I lose it. It’s very annoying in general
Also for whatever reason the IRST lock seems to drift around a lot? I don’t trust it to guide in brimstones when it’s not even on the target half the time.
Okay, I got an answer from the BW (No, not regarding the Inner Pylon) but for the Canards, according to the Bundeswehr thats the Parking position
Why are the Canards at full angle when on ground?
Regarding 1. It’s the so-called parking position of the slats, regardless of whether the engines are running or not. As long as the aircraft is not in FRS (flight mode), they remain in this position and are automatically moved to the dump position during landing after the nose gear touches down to slow the aircraft down!
Why the diffrent Nose cone colours?
Regarding 2. This small tip is made of plastic and doesn’t indicate which radar is installed. There are only three manufacturers that produce it, so it’s available in different colors and needs to be replaced regularly because the inside burns away over time (due to radar radiation, but that’s intended).
Under which name is the “Eurofighter” in the Bundeswehr?
EF-2000 or really Eurofighter, or someone else?
Regarding 3. We normally call it a Eurofighter, and in the system it is registered under the code 1B = Eurofighter, 1Y Tornado, 1W was the Phantom.
@Gunjob could the Number 1 be used to increase the speed lose when landing/touching ground or anything in that direction?
We have automatic slats when landing in the tornadoes. Surely same feature can be applied?
Gripen would also benefit here, presuming the Rafale also.
(Makes sense for EFT and Gripen as a common feature as BAE wrote the Gripens FBW software)
Rafale air brake already puts the canards in a pitched position, and it’s implemented in game. Now, whether it would pitch even more during landing, I don’t think so.
Rafale in usual « park » positions keeps its canards feathered compared to the EFT where they are completely pitched down
Hmmm yeah briefly looking at a few photos they don’t seem to pitch significantly down like those on Gripen and EFT do. Interesting.
God it’s so cute
Same energy
Got an reply regarding the Inner Pylon/AMRAAM…
Tldr:
sadly we cant answer that, its Secret…

Thank you for your inquiry and the interest it shows. Please understand that such a detailed inquiry about the Eurofighter’s technology violates military secrecy.
In principle, the equipping of weapon systems follows a multitude of different specifications and considerations. These include physical conditions (mounts, connectors), aerodynamics, and certification. Eurofighters are equipped with ammunition depending on their intended use, so in reality, different configurations occur. There may also be different national standards in this regard.

Seems if it goes ahead we could have up to 300 standard or 150 large CM’s with the new dispensers.
Don’t have a huge amount on them yet as they’re clearly still being worked up but it replaces the 55" system and the whole blister housing the current 55" dispensers.
Typhoon Next Gen dispensers;
Available in 2" or 1" (218/118)
Brite Cloud is supposedly very good on the Gripens, is this the focus of the upgrade, or is it just a general increase in CM count by adding both BC and regular dispensers?
What will be the battery life on britecloud?
like how many seconds
We already employ the 55" version of BriteCloud. Just adding more dispensers seems to be the idea.
Not a clue haha, and I doubt you’ll ever find out either.
Rare aspect of good decision making for the RAF lol, hopefully they get the necessary funding for it so it doesn’t get scrapped
sadge it will be upto gaijins discretion
